My father is from Bari My Mom is from sicily.
My family still lives half there half here........ so we are getting married in Rome.

No one is from Rome so they are all still scratching thier heads wondering why I just didnt get married at Russos!

Hello all my italian brides! I'm an italian american bride too!!

My mother was born in Ischia (the sister island of Capri) and my father was born in Sicily... its funny because most people don't believe me when i tell them of my heritage, i am pale skinned and have reddish hair!!

Anyway i will probably have the standard italian songs at my wedding like 'ti amo,' 'tarantella', 'l'italiano', etc..

and probably will have the big favors (like a candy dish or porcelain statuette or something! lol!) w/ the candy almonds of course!

YAY! i saw this thread and got excited lol..I'm also 1st generation italian. My mom's from Castellammare Del Golfo, Sicily and my dad's from Serradifalco, Sicily. You girls having a big fat italian wedding like I am? lol
