I'm not a Land's End bride either, but I wanted to be!! It was just too much $$$.

Anywho, I don't know if you're going with a band or a DJ, but LI Sound is amazing!!!!! I believe they're the house vendor and I def recommend them. In fact, Chris is actually getting married there this October!!!

There aren't too many active Land's End brides. There was a few on the 05 board - but they keep on getting married and just leaving the site (no review or nothing - it stinks). There is also 1 on the 07 board. Of course you know if you need any help, FM me!

At least we have each other!

Don't worry though - one of my mom's coworkers just got married at Land's End (about a month ago) and she said it was better than she expected (and that all future Land's End brides have nothing to worry about).

She used Heart and Soul for her band (Franklin Wayne - recommended vendor) and Imagine Studios (also recommended) for photo. I'll ask my mom to ask her how her photos came out.

It is never to late to join. Maybe your Mom can try to sell her on the newlywed board and the recipe boards and home decorating? If she comes on and posts her review I will be VERY excited!

Hey there are two pretty new (well July) Land's End reviews on the Bridal Review board I never noticed. Did you see them? One of the brides used Full House and one used Imagine Studies (recommended photographer)

Bump for FINALLYME

Though I am a 2007 Land's End bride, I will be willing to answer any questions, take any advice and just share ideas. Congrats to all those that have taken the expensive plunge for Land's End. I know we'll all be happy.

I haven't booked any f my vendors yet. Our engagement party is the end of September and have decided to wait until after the party to look into further wedding plans. I am almost positive we are going to be using Apple Entertainment for our DJ and possibly our video. It's actually a friend of my FH best friend. Also turns out that they're one of LE vendors. Photography we're going to be looking into Spellman Studios (which is also one of their vendors) as well as creative compositions. I heard both are a little pricey, but photography is VERY important to me.

Any recommendations for vendors? Also, anyone know if silk flowers are more expensive than real flowers? That's the direction I was thinking of going. But of course price IS always a factor.

I just got married at Lands End on August 7th. It was perfect. They really take care of you. I used Marco photograohy. Marco is excellent and really worked well with everyone. Tommy Tunes was my DJ. They too went above and beyond my expectations. They are the only house vendors I used. The others I got from LI weddings. Laurie at LA Blossoms was by far my favorite vendor. She is just amazing and affordable. Everyone loved the flowers. I also used Sir Oliver limos. They were also wonderful. I know that Lands End is expensive but trust me it is worth every penny. The service was wonderful and the food was great. They really put in a lot of extras to make each and every bride feel truly special. If you have any questions about vendors or anything please let me know. I did sooooooo much research before I booked any one.

No worries ladies.....getting married there in 5 weeks and will give ya'll a fabulous review when all is said and done!!! It should be up by mid-November (we're leaving for Africa two days after the wedding and won't be back until the beginning of Nov)----but I will give you all the full scoop!!!

What I can tell you for now is that Jennifer is FABULOUS---we've been able to stop in whenever we needed to, she's letting us have their first ceremony right on the beach, and we went for the tasting and she allowed us to bring an extra person (my stepdad).....they have been extremely helpful and willing to adjust!!!

The tasting was phenomenol!!!! The food was some of the BEST food I've ever had (not just wedding food....but all dinners included). And Marietta was extremely friendly and gave us lots of info about our big day. We are going back to LI in a week or two to finalize the menu and get the last minute things taken care of.
