Re: Official Land's End Thread

Hi Samantha,

How's the dress shopping coming along? I went to the Reem Acra salon in the city today and all I can say is WOW- the satin on those gowns just seem to glisten. I think my favorite was the one she calls GoodLuck. I'm still really partial to an Ines at BR, called Alma- but there's no pics I can find anywhere to drool over so it makes it harder to choose. I'm going to go to her trunk show at BR on 9/10, and hopefully I'll be able to decide then. It's terrible being so obsessive/compulsive about a dress I'm going to wear for 5 hours, but I can't help myself!!

Ladies, if anyone has any pics or info on the Ines dress she calls 'Alma', I'd greatly appreciate it- Thanks

Is she on here??? That's great! If so, Hi again- I met you last Saturday trying on gowns at Bridal Reflections in Carle Place - your Mom showed my Mom the navy gown she just got. And congrats to you, I believe you got your gown that day. It was really beautiful. How did your friend who was with you do on her quest?

Hey! I am a Land's End bride as well...July 06--less than a year, aah!! I am using Patken (Vinny) and Daybreak's Night as the band, so far those are the only vendors I have! If you have any questions about them don't hesitate to ask.
I was wondering about having the ceremony right on the beach--that is awesome! I am going to have to check into it...I seriously love the place and Jennifer is the best!

I just got married at Lands End on August 7th. It was perfect. They really take care of you. I used Marco photograohy. Marco is excellent and really worked well with everyone. Tommy Tunes was my DJ. They too went above and beyond my expectations. They are the only house vendors I used. The others I got from LI weddings. Laurie at LA Blossoms was by far my favorite vendor. She is just amazing and affordable. Everyone loved the flowers. I also used Sir Oliver limos. They were also wonderful. I know that Lands End is expensive but trust me it is worth every penny. The service was wonderful and the food was great. They really put in a lot of extras to make each and every bride feel truly special. If you have any questions about vendors or anything please let me know. I did sooooooo much research before I booked any one.

Meg,
LA Blossoms is located in Huntington. The owners name is Laurie and she does the flowers right from her home. She is truyl amazing and does a wonderful job. She is one the vendors on this website So you can get her number right from here.
I will post pictures once I pick up my proffs next week. If you have any other questions please let me know

Welcome to our Land's End thread Carrisa!

We are always excited to have more Land's End brides (past and future).

Have you started looking at florists yet? Anyone know anything about centerpieces from James Cress? I have had their flowers delivered before and I know they are gorgeous. I am hoping that their wedding service is the same.

TIA

Hi Samantha,

How's the dress shopping coming along?

Dear Danielle,
I went dress shopping again tonight and it was exhausting! I am going out one more time tomorrow!
Wish me luck!

I definitely feel your pain! The worst part is that I keep changing my mind. Once I think I've got it down to a style, I'll try on something different and it's like starting all over again- UGH!

Where are all of the Land's End brides? I think there might be some new ones out there who should join our thread!

As for me, I am still dress shopping but hopefully getting closer.

Will the other afternoon Land's End brides please show your dresses?

TIA

Hello fellow Land's End Brides! Sorry it took me so long to actually post on here, but here I am. May 5, 2006.

My cousin just used North Island Photography for her wedding and loved them. Her proofs came back really beautiful. I am actually going to be calling them next week to set an appointment with them myself.

Check out LA Blossom. Laurie gave me great prices and really worked to get me what I wanted. I've also seen great work by Flower Michele
