It's going really well. I'm in disbelief that it's actually happening in '09!

Major vendors are all booked (except for limo...gotta get to Camelot), purchased 32 inch vases for my CP's and the candelbara's from Crate and Barrel yesterday (crazy sales). I'm bringing these to a local florist (still have to choose one) to see what they can do.

I know you've gotten TONS done...did you go dress shopping yet? That's like one of your last things right?

Suneydis....love that you're getting your Bellydancing website up! Hurry so I can convice my Mom that we NEED one for my shower

I know im so happy for 09' . Oh i went to Camelot, Joe is fabolous and really hooked us up. I got a 1965 antique car and a towncar for FH, he was the cheapest out of 8 different companies i checked into. We decided no bridal party lol...too much hassle and no one was really showing they cared. Oh thats great you got your vases i bought mines from save-on-crafts.com because i wanted gold ones lol..I love Crate and Barrel they have fabolous stuff.On Saturday im going to meet with Designs by Rose a vendor from on here and i will let you know how it went. I heard nothing but fabolous reviews. They are a mother-daughter team that have their business in Howard Beach. Im going dress shopping January 10th so im super excited for that too

OOOHHHHH Dress shopping is fun! I miss trying on my gown, I knew it was the one...just wish I didn't want to please my mom by getting it in white, the beige color makes the dress more elegant.

Im really excited im going to go to RK bridal in the city on a Saturday but ill be getting there as soon as they open because i heard it can be a real mad house..ayy moms can be so old fashioned..trust me im going thru some nonsense right now with my mom..ugh

Maybe not because you know that your mother upset you in certain ways and you dont want to do that to your daughter. I know i dont wanna because my mom and i are on a war path right now lol..

don't worry about it and do what makes you happy :) It was more of an issue with his mom, but I'm like no way, it's my wedding and she has no say....lol. Your mom will understand if you let her know....I never opened my mouth cause I like to make my mom happy. I would have looked much better in beige than white...maybe when we do our vow renewals.

Ah the mother in law..i had an issue at first but that was settled quickly. But my mom is upset because she wants me to have a bridal party i keep telling her we just dont want one because i dont have close friends nor am i super close with my cousins and she just doesnt get it. I have compromised her with other aspects of the wedding but now its this and she wants it but i dont. So that is why we are on the warpath so silly...argh..You should definitely go for the beige for your renewals.

I did want a bridal party for pic purposes, but really if your not close to them then def no...dont have anyone. I chose a few girls to fill in even though I wasn't close to them. The sad part that they didn't do anything for me...only the MOH took me out to dinner..if your not close than dont have them, they will be of no use the day of...lol My MOH was the only help but she sure did a great job...will u at least have a MOH and a Best man?

I had a MOH it was my FH's sister and she clearly showed that she didnt care. She would see me and wouldnt ask about anything so that was really upsetting. My close friends are out of the country and they wouldnt be able to come back for the wedding so i dont really have anyone. Also FH had asked his bestfriend to be his bestman and he was interested and never called FH back. So we really dont have anyone. But my mom doesnt get she wants me to have one cousin how stupid would that look just having one girl with no guys or no other girls. Plus my cousin doesnt even talk to me so wth..

Hi Ladies!! Im so happy to see this thread up again! I hope you all have been doing well!!!

I need some serious advice!! I cant decide on colors.. thats after the survey I did... Brown & Pink won... with Black & pink coming in second... But I have no clue what to do?!!!!! What would you do.. october wedding... reception place has alot of gold... my girls are all tones.. so I need a color that matches fare skin to dark skin... Its KILLING ME!!! I ordered black & pink STD's... but now I feel like its not fall-ish.... BUT I DONT WANT ORANGES and things in that fallish category.... PLEASE HELP ME.. IM GOING CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its okay if you ordered Pink & Black STD's as long as you haven't bought anything for the wedding itself in those colors then you could still change colors. Have you thought of purple like a plum color? Yellow to match the autumn leaves? A deep red? How about green?

How about yellow and brown with gold accents? So it can go with your rh's decor..

I chose sage green, brown and gold accents because my hall has alot of gold.

That is a good combo...plus it also goes with gold...I changed my colors sooo many times...and after ordering the BM dresses..I wanted to change it again, but it's too late I think eventually she will end up with the pink and brown

i think its a great combo, if i was doing a fall wedding i would have done those colors. i also like burnt orange, deep yellow & burgandy together

i honestly dont think anyone will remember what colors the STDs were by the wedding...you can do them in the colors you ourdered them, they dont have to match. you can do brown dresses with a pink sash maybe?

yea Burnt Orange is also nice.. the only reason I left burnt Orange alone was because the men ties.. I dont really like the Orange ties.. I could never find real burnt Orange ties.. and with the black suites I felt so Holloween-ish being Im a week before... But its a ver pretty color..
