Sounds so complicated. I don't even want to think of table groupings, etc. Sounds very stressful. But you are getting married in 2 weeks - how exciting!

It wasn't as hard as I though, mostly people grouped together well, but it is more of where to put the groups that is an issue.

Hi Ladies,
How far in advance should you start planning the flowers. My wedding is next september and i was thinking of making an appointment with the milleridge florist next week. It that to early?
Also, when should I go to the bakery for the cake?

Milleridge Carriage House
Hello Milleridge Brides!
This website is absolutely great! I've read and taken note of the great advice, but I have a couple of questions that maybe y'all can help me with. I will be having my reception at the CH next September and that's pretty much all of I've taken care of. Well, that's half true. I have the church and my dress (it just needs to get altered). But, I'm mostly concerned with chosing a florist, a photographer, a DJ and a limo company. As you can all probably tell, I'm pretty new to all of this. So, I was hoping that maybe some of you can share with me your experiences and possibly a bit about what the prices should be for the forementioned services. I really don't know what florists quote for flower arrangements, and what photographers prices should be for a sensible package. I am really hesitating on asking these questions to a vendor because I don't want the vendor to think I'm gullible and take advantage of that. Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing from you guys!

I blocked rooms at the Holiday Inn in Plainview and got a rate of $99/night. Not sure if that varies by day of the week or month. So far they've been good to work with (Laurie is my contact there). And it's not like a regular crappy Holiday Inn. It's a hotel (as opposed to a motel) with a really nice lobby, a restaurant and a bar. I recommend at least checking them out.

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!
I was wondering if any one could share prices? I'm interested in august 6, 2006 which is a sunday or july 3, 2006 which is a monday. Either sunday afternoon or monday night, depending on which is more affordable. Expecting 63 people. I'm interested in 1 star menu. thanks. you can fm if you like.

Did anyone get direction cards from the Milleridge for their invitations? I emailed Leslie about it this morning, haven't heard back yet.

No but that's eerie timing, I have to contact Nadine about it shortly. Do you know what color they are? I'm hoping off white (or at least have that option) but I have a feeling they're white only.

Not a clue. I'll ask Leslie if/when she replies to my email and let you know though.
