Welcome! You are our first 2006 bride. There are a ton of review and picture links in the first post of this thread.

I'm using Golden Touch mini coach bus for mine but I'm getting married at the Cottage so we only need it for 1/2 day. Let me know if you want the contact info.

bump for Kate07 (noticed you're a newbie Milleridge Cottage bride, wanted to welcome you).

Also, bump because there's now a link to Annette's 11/28 Cottage review + pics.

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!

A friend came to my daughter's shower at the Carriage House (amazing place!) and is now interested in the Cottage for her daughter's wedding. She doesn't want to raise her daughter's hopes so asked me for information first.

Would someone mind FM'ing me the minimum # of people for the Cottage and the rates on different days/nights. Date is still very flexible so the price may make the difference.

Thanks so much.

You have FM.

Howdy! Sorry for the delayed review/pix. Thanks, as always, to Eogara for linking my info. here. I hope all future brides/grooms all enjoy your planning. It's so fun and needn't be stressful for Milleridge folks. They were stupendiferous. Hoping to see Melanee's review, soon. Hers was the day before mine and the day, weatherwise, was gorgeous! I was thinking of her all day.

I saw a bride on Fri. night at the Milleridge, 11/26, who looked lovely. I didn't think she was someone on this board b/c I don't see that date listed here, but it got me so excited for my day on Sunday.

May not be on so much in the future, but will try, as you're all so supportive! Love, Aye

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!

So, I picked up my directionals today and they were not at all what I expected.

Much prettier than the average directionals, yes, but I don't think they'll be helpful for people who've never driven to the Milleridge before.

I'm thinking of modifying them somehow, maybe by affixing a clear address lable with additional text. Have any of my fellow Milleridge brides done anything else with them or made your own?

TIA

How come, are they vague? Can you scan it to post so we can figure it out for you? I haven't seen them yet.

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!

I'm concerned that my scanned pictures won't go through. Let's see...

It's a folded card.

Here's the front (very nice, IMHO)

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!

Sorry -- these seem to be larger than life!

Here's the inside. Note the lack of directions other than the exit numbers. I'm concerned that my guests who haven't been there before will get lost.

I'd like to add text to the exit number page -- something like what they have on their full page directional, 'Go north off the exit ramp on routes 106/107 about 1/4 of a mile. Turn right at the sign for the Milleridge Inn. The Milleridge Cottage is located in the upper left corner of the parking lot.'

And, finally, here's the back.

Note that the address on the back (North Broadway) is different from the address on the inside (Hicksville Rd).

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!

OK, here's my revised directional.

I wrote text directions on a clear label and put it on the directional.

What do y'all think?

One more odd Milleridge question -- on your invitations, did/will you refer to it as Milleridge Cottage (or Carriage House) or as The Cottage (or Carriage House) at Milleridge?

TIA

I too was not so impressed with their direction cards and made another insert with more detailed directions and just slipped it inside the folded card.

On my invitations I indicated that it was the Milleridge Cottage.

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!

Wow, those are weird, why would they only put the exit number?? Grrrrrrrr, one more thing to add to the list, I didn' think this would be an issue!

I circled the Carriage House on the direction cards.
