Re: Official Milleridge Thread!

I will post a formal review as well but wanted to give a little bit of info in the meantime...

We had our reception at the Cottage on October 14. It was absolutely amazing! From the minute we pulled up, Gail (our BA) was there to help. She helped with my bustle, carried my lipstick, got everyone ready for the intro's....she was phenomenal...

The food was delicious, everyone raved...we had a 3 star so surf and turf was a big hit...I got the chicken cordon bleu and it was delicious....

Our cake was very good, not dry at all...We did yellow cake with choc pudding filling and buttercream icing....

Samir was our MD and he was a god-send.....The entire night he was there to offer help, fresh drinks, food etc. Everything ran smoothly and it was definitely a result of his hard work....

All of my little details were attended to...We actually had our DJ set up in the corner of the room (if you are looking into the room from the lobby bar, just to the right) b/c I wanted it to be open and flowy when the CH ended....It was perfect!

If you have any other specific questions, FM me!

All Milleridge ladies are in very good hands!!!!

ETA: I have not one negative thing to say about Milleridge! They made our wedding absolutely perfect!!!!

Congratulations Ladies!!! I'm so glad you all had wonderful wedding days!!

Good note about the DJ, I wanted to do the same thing w/ mine...how many people did you have at your wedding? Was there enough room to set them up there?

We had 22 tables I think...about 255 or so ppl....I think that by putting the DJ in the corner we lose 2 tables so if I remeber correctly, Milleridge said it could be doen as long as we had 28 or less tables...

Re: Official Milleridge Thread!

Here is a pic from my ceremony.

They made this huppah with some of the included flowers. (I used Burtons for my centerpieces)

The pic on the bottom is the memorial candle my mom and I lit for my dad. I had it set there for when we walked in

Thanks for the mini-reviews girls!! Can't wait to read the full ones!! So glad everything went well I love the suggestion about putting the DJ in the corner - we are having a band - I wonder if they would fit in the corner too? We are going to start tasting some cakes so I will post reviews soon

Nope - and I asked them to do A LOT - I had all sorts of my own decorations, candles, frames, etc. to put out, food for the chocolate fountain to lay out, wine favors to set up, and they even took apart the centerpieces and made them into bouquets to pass out to the women on the way out. None of that was in my contract - there was a list I was constantly adding to over the course of the year I had - and it was all done - I just had to give all the materials to them. Their level of service was really incredible!

I have to say I was a little worried in general about all this stuff (esp. since I'm a lawyer) as I found all my contracts to be sparse but it seemed to be the way they all were and I just don't have that much time to rewrite contracts. In the end the only vendors who I should've fleshed the contracts out with were the limo company and the shuttle bus company. Everyone else honored their 'word.' Good luck!

thanks for the quick reply! this is the first contract i'm dealing with, and i work with contract disputes on a daily basis so i know this is going to be an ordeal for me (and probably more so for the people I'm dealing with!)
i just freaked out a bit when i saw how little detail was included but this makes me feel better about it...i'll try to minimize revisions now. at least for the reception. thanks again!

No problem. I'm not often on LIW anymore these days, but feel free to FM if you have any other Milleridge questions. Happy Planning!
