things are good....have to get over there to pick our menu.....i cannot believe that this past friday was 8 weeks from my wedding

Marisa, that's crazy! 8 weeks. WOW!!! time is flying.

I finally ordered invites on Saturday. I aso got my bra for my dress and I'm going to dress up my shoes a little. I bought hair pins/sticks that are sooo pretty. I almost bought my veil but when they wrote the $140 I had to reconsider. I'm only leaving it on for pictures initially and for the 30 min ceremony. I just couldn't do it. So it's back to the drawing board for me for veils.

did you by any chance ask your limo company about a shuttle from your guests from the swan club to the hotel (if you're having OOT guests). I need to start looking into shuttles for my guests.

fh & i talked about doing a shuttle, but then decided on not doing one. I hav egone to plenty of weddings where there was no shuttle and one of us had to be the DD LOL sooo since weare paying enough for the wedding I just can't do it, I would love to, but can't. BUT, trans star exec was the cheapest limo company I found, and they ar egreat. They just got into the wedding scene since they are mostly corporate, but thats how they keep their prices so low

i wish i could forget the shuttle be allllll of FH's family is from OOT so we will have like half the guest list going to the hotel and they do not know the area at all, so i just feel like it's something i really should do for them, especially since they all have to spend a pretty penny to come to the wedding.

We want to do a party bus for all our bronx friends and fam but not sure how it would all work... having a morn wedding kinda puts a strain on things

wow!!! you have gotten so much done, doesnt it feel wonderful??? have you checked out barrons at the tricounty for your veil yet? they were very inexpensive for what i wanted...i cant wait to go pick out our menu....thats the fun stuff and less stressful

I went to Barrons based on my conversation with you and they wanted $140. I'm not suggesting they are overpriced or anything and the guy there was very helpful, I totally understand it was hand beaded, but I just don't think it's worth $140 for the 1 hour I'll have it on. I'll just end up getting a plain one. I'll have the work on my dress, I'll have the pearl/crystal hairsticks so it will be fine.

I'm still in shock it is already May.

On the dance floor. Joe (the Banquet Manager) told me that they stay there until just after CH, to make sure everyone got theirs. Then, they clear the table out of the way before we make our entrance.

Hey My Fellow Swannies,

I went to the Swan Club yesterday after work round’ 7pm to make a payment and it was packed. All rooms! They had 3 proms and 1 wedding. The chapel was even booked for a party! I couldn’t see anything! I did walk in the garden cus’ I wanted to get an idea of how the flowers were going to look for my wedding (Memorial 09’) and they were in good bloom. Not fully as it would be in July or August, but very gorgeous just the same.

I met my maitre ‘d, Christian, for the first time and he was fabulous, young, hip and exciting. I’m ecstatic to have him on my wedding.

I was just sad I couldn’t see my room. I thought if I went on a Thursday it would be empty but it was packed! I did get to see the waiters with their white gloves enter the room with hot pasta dishes stacked on metal tiers.

Any ho, Good Luck to all the ladies this weekend!
