Thanks! That's not as bad as i thought, but i still want to try to find something as a cheaper option too.

I called La Quinta (used to be Wingate) in Garden City and they said $159 w/ 15 blocked rooms and they have a bar at the hotel so you could do a little after party...

Have you guys blocked off rooms with a hotel yet for OOT guests and you and FH? If so where and what kind of rates/deals are you getting?

doreen, i didnt block YET but i was quoted

about 189 for the Claremont
about 175 for the andrew

that was 10 rooms at each hotel and a suite for myself and fh Im going to find out again tomorrow night, maybe book the Andrew

this may sound silly...but i am confused as to how this works...fh and i need to look into hotels near swan club too....do you pay to hold them or just hold them with no payment? and who will be there tomorrow night??? i will...hope to see you!!!

You have to sign a contract w/ a hotel if you need to 'block' off a certain number of rooms. I am not quite sure if each of them differ on when you give the money, but to me it sounds like you sign the contract and then if any money is owed you pay it on the night of your wedding. Some hold you to the rooms you blocked and others do not require you to pay if all rooms in your block are not reserved. It depends on the hotel.

I always am thinking about booking the swan club, i loved it there!! My FH and I are going to a bridal showcase there on 1/24/08 to taste the food... i hope its good... has anyone had the food yet?

ive had the food on several occasions and ive always been impressed (one of the reasons we booked SC - besides the gardens )

just got back from the showcase and WE WON one of the big prizes we won an upgrade to the platinum package - now if i could only remember what that includes does anyone have that info handy? i know its the seafood boat, but was there anything else?

I think it was your contract I saw them working on on their computer while I was getting coffee... I looked over and saw July 2, 2010.

Welcome to the SWANNN CLUBBB. Congrats on booking. Tonight was the first time I've ever tasted their food and we liked it.
