Re: OFFICIAL VINEYARD CATERERS THREAD

Hey Ladies,
So I went to the VC wedding last night. It was great!! First of all I love John soooo much!!! The second my FH and I walked in he remembered us and treated us basically like royalty the whole night lol. He let us see the VH before everyone went out to destroy the dessert! It was an amazing display. The food was great and service was super friendly. They had the red velvet cake from create-a-cake and it was delish!

There were two things I would do differently. They had the cake displayed by the DJ on the dance floor and it was almost knocked over 10 times! That wouldn't be good! Also, I would but the bridal party and younger guests on the far side since they are up and down more, because it can get tight on the other side.

Overall it was a GREAT wedding, so beautiful and everything was amazing. I cannot wait to have our reception there!!! Pics to follow, I am just so shot from the wedding haha

Have a great weekend

Re: OFFICIAL VINEYARD CATERERS THREAD

glad to hear you had a great time at the wedding!! i totally agree with you on the cake placement...in pictures i always see it set up by the DJ, but i think i would set it up by the sweetheart table.

when you say to put the younger people on the far side, is that to the left of the dancefloor if you're looking towards the CH deck?

can't wait to see pics!

The far side of the room being the furthest from the stairs, like the 'smaller side' if that makes sense haha.

I didnt send STD yet but here are the cards we had made for the hotel...

Did your friend use the VC's uplighting. How did you like it at night? I'm concerned it might not be enough will need to hire a company.

We ended up using our DJ company for the uplighting. I felt like the price was a little high to use VC's.

Re: OFFICIAL VINEYARD CATERERS THREAD

the uplighting is included in our contract. i'm hoping it will be fine!
We went today to make our 2nd and 3rd payments (don't want ot have to go back in a month) and the centerpieces tiffany posted pics of were still there!!!
aparently not many people took them home, so VC has been using them throughout the venue the whole weekend. they were beautiful!!!!!!!!! There was a huge one on the table when you walk in adn makes me wonder if i should get something for there!! plus there were 3 in teh room where they have wine service before cocktail hour...hmmmm.........maybe i should add more centerpieces!

Re: OFFICIAL VINEYARD CATERERS THREAD

I got the lighting in my contract too but i'm not sure if it's enough but I also don't want to pay for more! lol

Anyone having a slideshow? Who provides this?
