Mine is unusual so I thought I would post our final:

Coming: 149

a little under 50%--a bit crazy yes, but we kept inviting people as we got the no's in, FH's family is all over the midwest and basically not coming, and 75% of guests (including us) are from OOT!

I hope 20% of my guests respond NO. We are inbviting about 170 and we have to guarantee 125. I'd like to have 140. We'll see.

Wow, great thread! So far my guest list is at 221, and we guaranteed 175!

So far out of 80 invites I got about 40 back and they are all yes except 3!!

How many of you sent out STD's??
How do you think this played into your responses?
I am inviting 300 and hoping for 250, I sent out STD a couple of months ago and my invites will go out 2 months before. Do you think.. using your 'prefessional opinion' that I will be at 250??????

everyone we thought would decline has, and everyone we thought would come, is, so far...

didn't make a distinction b/n adults and kids. also, many invited are relatives in the philippines with HUGE families and not coming.

holy shi*t!!! look how many we have to call...

Our RSVP date was 7/28/05 and we were missing 20 people at that point, but here are the numbers as of 8/3/05.

Invited: 312
Reply Yes: 195
Reply No: 107 (we sent out invites to 26 people that we knew could not come but 'had' to be invited - this number includes those 26 people (Notably, they were the first to respond.))
No Response as of 8/3/05: 10 (I think only 1 or 2 of these people are possible yes'es).

% Yes: 63%
% No: 34%
% No Response as of 8/3/05: 3%

To answer the STD ? We only sent them to about 3/4ths of our guests but it honestly did not matter because it was at that point we found out about the people who could not come. They asked to be sent an invite and almost all of them sent gifts even though they will not be able to join us for our wedding.

ETA: Even though we ended up having 196 people say Yes, a few days before the wedding 10 people called and cancelled because of illness (heart attack, broken bones) so we had 186 people attend.

I didn't send them out but you see people and word gets around.

The people who said no to us most of them couldn't make it because of health, travel or other issues...not because they had other plans that night.

And you have to consider if you are inviting everyone with a guest, how many out of the 300 are single and won't be a guest. That equaled about 30 people for us.

So it all really depends.

While i think STD are cute....i don't think they do much more. Most people find out the date from family, friends, etc.
