Re: OHEKA Castle
I got married there in September. I think it holds up to 450 in the new room. The old ballroom holds about 150 comfortably. The prices vary slightly depending on the time of year you are getting married. There is a site fee of $11,000 and a pp charge of about $250. You also have to add in the 18% service charge, 8% tax, and about $2000 gratuity. Hope that helps! It is the best place to get married. They spoil you from booking to the day of your wedding.

Re: OHEKA Castle
We went looking there for our June 2006 wedding. For a Sunday in June they quoted us $225 pp (we were having 250 people) + 18% service and taxes. There is a site fee of $10,000, which you can avoid by simply becoming a member ($50 application fee). We did the math and it came out to $300-$325 pp with taxes and service. It is a beatiful place but very expensive.

I'm new to this site and this is my first posting. Can you please elaborate on the $50 membership fee? I would really like to know more about that.

Re: OHEKA Castle
I'm thinking you have to pay $50 for the application and there are other fees with being a 'member.' $50 instead of $10,000 doesn't seem right!

Re: OHEKA Castle
I saw OHEKA its is beauity but it is so so so expense. more than I would spend on one day. I'm sorry, even if I was a millionare, I wouldn't spend that kind of money. they wanted $10,000 for a site fee, and 124 dollars a plate witha 123 person min. AFter hearing all the fees and tips and so on, my wedding would cost 40,000 dollars. I don't know about you, but I want a house a lot more than a big wedding. Although it is beauitful, try looking at other places. Don't get your hopes up for just one day. A wedding last just one day, but a marriage last a life time. When I left OHEKA I was dispointed, but then I looked at my FI and realised, I didn't need a castle for my wedding, I really just needed him. Think of all the people you know who are lonely, heart broken and trying to find the right one, and here we are talking about our weddings, rather than looking for someone to give us happiness in our lives.

Re: OHEKA Castle
I'm getting married there in November. They actually dropped the site fee to 5000...and $160 per plate. Getting married in late fall was the reason why she dropped it so low. That's still pretty pricey...but not terrible. But I would love to know more about the $50. You must have to pay some hefty membership fee every month or something!!

That's a great price! Did you book last minute? I can understand more though because your date is a Friday in November. But her price was only $120???
