Choose your wedding date??

Any specific reasons (anniversary, holiday weekend, etc)?? or was it the ONLY one left available in your fave month??

I just knew I wanted a Sat in May. Was going to do it the 12th, but realized it was Mothers Day weekend, so FH and I picked 05/05. Which did not even think it was Cinco de Mayo.

well its our monthly versary our anniversary is 8/28, our date is 4/28...we chose it too b/c its the last sat in april so we are hoping to get closer to may weather w/o the may prices...and we really love the springtime

Originally I was a Sept. 2006 bride.

When we had to change the date due to FH needing the surgery we changed it to the first warm month that had a Sunday available.

We chose it b/c it was just before it really got cold....and it was cheaper from the week before!!

Originally it was in Oct. that was our fav. Month buuuut we ended up changing it to Nov. cuz that was the only time my family would be abel to come from Greece.

FH loved the date 7/7/07 - lucky sevens He really wanted it so I agreed because i knew from that point on I was gonna be in control of all the decisions

We originally wanted October but got a better price for November and choose the first weekend because we thought it would be warmer. We started dating in November so it actually worked out well.

Not to hot not to cold, and it's holiday weekend, and people have the weekend off so they can travel. I have a very big family,a nd we love to get together considering everyone is scattered over the states and out of the country

Besides, my aunt, and my cousin have Memorial day weekend locked. One got married 04, and the other 05 that weekend, so that left me w/ labor day weekend

ok, here's my 'story' lol

i've always loved september- ALWAYS - and FH loved it b/c it's not as hot as summer months b/c he can't stand the extreme heat.

i originally wanted to be an 06er but my older sister (JennandPhil827) got engaged and 2 weddings in one year: TOO much!

so we liked 9/16 but then when we went in for SOME reason my gut said 9/9 (don't even know WHY) so we chose it... I was hoping for warmer weather I think and also the sun would be setting later a little earlier-- i guess that's why!

We wanted something in early Sept. and FH didn't want to do it Labor Day weekend so this was as early as it was going to get.

We picked it cause we were trying to avoid sharing with any other family thing (birthdays, anniversaries, etc) So we had to go for something in July, and 7/7/07 just happens to fall on a Saturday, which is the once day of the week you can get married at my church.

Chose it 'cause its the night after Thanksgiving. Everything will be decorated for Christmas without being TOO close to Christmas Day.

Originally we were going for Sept 29, it was the first time he told me that he loved me. But the church wasn't available.

We decided we wanted to go to the Carribbean for our honeymoon. So we changed it to May. We had to take Memorial Day weekend because my brother's college graduation is the 19th.

So Memorial Day weekend it is.
