OK Controversy- DO you 100% fully trust your Signigificant other, or do you think anything is possible
Original post by wacky
Friend and I were speaking over some drinks about life
We were speaking about a girl we know that validates herself by her man. She is smug, like she is the only girl married in the world. I think its BS. We both said that you can never be too sure.
What do you think? I believe that no matter how much you love, you just never know what the outcome may be, and I just cant put all my faith in my hubby.

I trust my husband 1000000%... Given that, nobody is perfect...and I don't completely rule out that 'mistakes' happen.
I will not stop trusting him 100000% until he gives me reason to, but let me tell you - the day he strays is the day I am GONE!!!
Infidelity is something I just can not and will not forgive.

I agree that trust is an important factor, but I always keep one foot on solid ground. I cant help it, I guess it has to do with upbringing

I agree wacky.....and I do. It does not mean that I have to take any of that 100000% of trust away from my husband....
It just means that if anything were to happen, that I trust IN MYSELF to know what I will and won't put up with. And if he was dumb enough to break my trust than I can be smart enough to kick his A$$ OUT!
Trust and self respect are 2 totally different things....As long as you have both - you are good. Trusting him any less won't make it less painful if anything were to happen ya know? So what waste time 'wondering'
Trust until you have reason not to - not the other way around....

I believe if placed in a situation none of us know what we will do, so that is why I tell my husband, just don't go there. Anything is likely. No one is above being tempted.

I trust him, but there is a part of me that thinks that anything is possible. I went to a strip club on Saturday night where the stripper will basically dry hump the guy while he's sitting down as a lapdance and roll all over him. I was thinking for his bachelor party, what would he do if something like that happened? I've been to others where when they do a lap dance, they keep their top on, and they won't actually touch them while doing it. Can a guy always resist these kinds of things?

A guy/a married man, my husband should not put himself in a position where he has to resist these kinds of things

Yeah, I know what you mean. I just worry a little about his bachelor party because he's going to be put in that situation. I know how his friends are. They'll be rooting him on and stuff.

UGH, this gets me mad!!
I have a friend who her husband takes care of everything involved with their money. I keep telling her she needs to do it with him or at least know what is going on with their money. His mother died before they met and left him money and a house so she thinks since he took care of that he's okay with the rest. I could totally see him just paying the interest on their bills and her getting screwed one day

GREAT point Stacey!! Women should ALWAYS be involved in the finances in the marriage... I take care of half of our bills (it's a joint effort) and we still maintain seperate accounts....(I insisted on keeping my own savings account)

I completely 100% trust my husband. I wouldn't have it any other way.
I can honestly say I don't even think about my husband cheating on me. Its something I can't even fathom.

Maybe I am being a little pessimistic or emotionally guarded, but I have a problem saying 100%.
I mean I have a great relationship/friendship/marriage with my husband, but I am of the belief that nothing is guaranteed and anything can happen.
