We met at a Red Cross blood drive the first time. He got woozy and I gave him my cookie and orange juice. He says he tried to get my number but was sort of out of it and I remember thinking what a cool guy (despite the wimpy almost faint) Thought about him occasionally (and he told me he did too) but no idea who until several years later we were set up by friends and recognized each other. Fate.

I just got dumped and my best friend invited me over to her house for a sleepover. She called her two cousins (very cute guys) over (we were all friends already) and they brought their friend with them. I was totally crushing on one of her cousins but like that, i was suddenly interested in their friend. She thought I should hook up with him but i knew I couldnt hurt him by rebounding with him....(i still remember feeling how sure I was that i loved him even though I just met him)
We exchanged Screennames and chatted for a month, eventually tied the phone lines all night long, and then on Feb 14, 1998 had our first date.
Been best friends and soulmates ever since.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.... well, we met about 23 yrs ago.... a little more detail might help:
Both of our families immigrated from the former USSR in 1979. We were - 2yrs each (that makes us 27 now). We came from different parts of the USSR but we moved to Jackson Heights, Queens. Our families sent us to Yeshiva when we were 4 and we met in pre-school. We were in the same class. 2 years later our parents simulaneously transfered us to the local public school (PS 69) and we were in the same class for 1st & 2nd grade. We even have class pictures together. He says we used to play together but I don't remember him at all.
Anyway... fast forward ... we are both taking the E train to work in Manhattan. This strange guy keeps looking at me and then starts asking me all these questions about where I went to school and who I know and he knew my NAME I had no idea who he was... no recollection what-so-ever. We traded e-mail addresses and made plans to go out for drinks 2 nights later. We went for drinks and to make an already long story short - have been together ever since...

I was dating his (ex) best friend for 2 1/2 years and we hated each other with a passion, then he had a Birthday party one year and called me to thank me for coming....actually I hated him, he was an arrogant flirt, and always had some line for me...and when he called to thank me, we spent about 4 hours on the phone, and from then on every night was like that...I was on a 'break' with his best friend, and his best friend gave him the ok....but his friend never thought it would actually happen since they are polar opposites....not surprisingly they don't speak anymore, but the best friend tried to break us up majorly, so it worked both ways....

We met at Meehan's in Huntington. My roommate was a nurse & his mom was a patient on her floor. She always used to talk about how great he & his brother were and how well they treated her. She had cancer and passed away. About a week later his friends dragged him out to Meehan's and we were there. We ended up hanging out all night. But my roommate was not too happy with me. She liked him. I had a feeling this was true, so I wasn't flirting or anything, just trying to be nice since he had just lost his mom. He told me he thought I was really cute & asked if I wanted to go out sometime. He was totally my type and I really liked him, but I knew she would be so mad. I told him I'd call him, which I had never done. But I called a few days later. We talked for hours. I felt so guilty about my roommate. We ended up moving out of the house we were renting. But now, four and a half years later, all is forgiven and we're friends again. Now I'm debating about whether or not I should ask her to be a BM.

Mutual friends. We were out one night with a group and I met him and thought he was cute, but I had a BF at the time and didn't think twice. We then met a few months later in another group setting and I gave him my number. He didn't call me for 6 weeks - I was so disapointed!! But he finally did and we've been together ever since.

He was a bellman and I was a receptionist at a painfully trendy midtown hotel. We spent 9 months chatting and flirting as buddies, and when I started dating one of the other bellman, he kept trying to tell me this guy was an di*k-head and a womanizer and I should stay away. Well, he was right. Thankfully...
After the di*k-head bellman wined/dined/69'ed me, he took off with my heart. FH then insisted on taking me out, whispered 'I told you so' a few times, and then completely swept me off my feet.
By the third date I knew he was the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with.
He says he knew I was his wife from the moment he met me. I love that...

we met back in HS - when i briefly dated one of his best friends. we didnt get along at all and me and my FI started talking behind his back - scandalous! - and 5 yrs later here we are! funny thing is - we are still friends with the guy that i dated - and he ended up marrying my college roomate and i was a bridesmaid. oh the irony.

We met 8 years ago but never dated. WE would pump into each other from time to time after that. Then we talked one night (while I was on a date with another guy) at a local bar. And two weeks later we bumped into each other at a store. We started really talking then and well the rest has been a fairy tale!

We met through a mutual friend when I was 18 & he was 20. We dated for a month. THen I met up with him 5 years later on camping trip. My tent broke & I asked to sleep in his tent. The rest is history.......
