On some of those islands... you don't want to go anywhere near the public beaches! Plus, if you don't do it through the resort, you have to go find the place where they issue marriage licenses be yourself and do all that stuff!

Not all include drinks - you have to look. But, yes, you don't pay for anything - not even tipping!
Good for you!!!! I'm having a destination wedding also. I'm going to the Atlantis in the Bahamas. I'm so happy that you guys talked!!

I think you guys need to sit down and have a serious conversation. I dont want to sound rude, but with everything going on, and him constantly changing his mind, maybe you should take a break from the wedding thing and just spend time getting used to living together first. I know its a lot of things going on at once, but you need to agree on how money is going to be spent and how each other feels on different subjects before making such a big financial and emotional decision. I wish you the best of luck with everything.
I'd have to agree. It seems as if you have been juggling back and forth about whether or not you are going to have a big wedding and spend a lot of money. I think you guys needs to sit down and talk realistically about what you want to do. There is no need to have so much indecisiveness in such short periods. Get settled into your new place and go from there. Best of luck. JMHO.

He wants to save for a house... Thats pretty much the whole thing... he wants me to have what I want, but wants a house too....
I wanted to have a nice wedding... it doesnt have to be all out moneywise with additions etc.., just really pretty...
I know how you feel. FH wants a house more than anything too. But he really wants to settle down and have big family as well. Sometimes he second guesses the whole thing b/c the house is more important. What your FH is feeling is normal. He wants to provide for you first more than anything and to me that is the best commitment of all.

Re: o.k. I think Im going to commit myself...
Thank you girls. Anthony wanted to get married before the summer LOL He doesnt realize all the work that needs to go into it. I do think a house is more important to spend $$ on, but of course every girl wants to have her day. He feels that providing for us and our future is more important than the halls, favors etc for the one day... He just wantes to do it cheaper. Before we go away I might give some halls one last shot LOL One of them told me the other day getting anyone to book July right now is very very rare, almost no chance at all.. So Im sure I can talk them down more :)
