Ok we just got engaged like 3 weeks ago. We wanted a Summer of 08 wedding. We booked at Giorgios (love it). But I am starting to freak out that I don't have enough time. It seems like everyone else has so much done already. I haven't done anything else yet besides book my hall. Am I really far behind? HELP Thanks

Its fine..IM planning my wedding in basically a years time..I live far away SO I couldn't book anything until I got to NY and that was 2 Weeks ago..I was there a week before my 1 year date..And I got pretty much everything booked within a 3 day period..You will be OK..Promise..And we will help you out tons

I am getting married in july 2008 in Hawaii things are a bit different there and you can't do things so far ahead of time....I too am stressing out....you are definitely not alone

you have PLENTY of time! i got engaged 2 months ago and am getting married next Feb my cousin got engaged last week and set the date for 9/8/07!!!

I just got engaged 3 weeks ago and I am trying to get everything done....IT IS STRESS..dont let it get the best of you. Try reading Briday Guide March/April issue. They give you a timeline and checklist for what needs to be done in the upcoming months.

Don't stress. When I fist got on here, I felt the same way. I 've just come to understand that we all do things at our own pace. Some quicker than others. Reading the other girls refernces and reviews have really helped me choose which vendors I want to go with. So look at it that way.
I'm not all booked up, we just have church, RH and looking into flowers and DJ. I'm not even looking at dresses until June.

I would say to go to the Bridal Show tomorrow...there will be a TON of LI vendors there that you can get a ton of information in a short amount of time (and hopefully win some prizes at the same time!) You have plenty of time. It took us over 2 months to book the RH and church. We are hoping to book the photographer on Wednesday and DJ a few days after.

okay ..jsut to put u all at ease...i am gettign ,married in october 07!!! and you girls seem to be ahead of me!!!...i had 08 booked and changed it to 07, for ur exact reasons..my FH has a house, we have been togehter forever so i figured why wait...originally i wanted to wait until i finished school (going for my masters) so i would have less stress, but i just couldnt wiat---bring on the stress...IT WILL ALL FALL INTO PLACE!! dont worry...stay with ur date , ull be fine! congrats to u guys...and kudos to you all for being soo organized!!

You've got plenty of time. Book a photog / video / DJ or band soon because they book quickly, especially the popular ones.
I got engaged in June of 06 and didn't start planning until three months later for my Oct 07 wedding. Got all of my first choices booked.

you are not far behind. you can get it all done. you have planty of time. alot of the girls have alot booked only cause they have had the time. if we didn't then we would be right where you are. i know alot of people who planned wedding in less then 3 months. So you are not far behind.

I've only booked my hall too, don't stress about it..my aim is to have everything booked a year in advance..
