I think food and atmosphere are two of the most important things at a wedding. My co-workers and I were at a wedding this past wekend and the food was horrible Everything from cocktail hour straight to dessert was bad. Unfortunately, that put a damper on some of the guests and a lot ended up leaving early. Guests aren't involved in all the hoopla of the day like brides. Food is such an easy thing that will make people remember a wedding.

For me it happened to be patken-

we love our hall(manor east).... we had a low budget(but then fh's parents said theyd help if we wanted a nicer hall out of our budget)... but we didnt need their help cause we fell in love with M.E. fiance said he could see us getting married their..

Now my fiance even knows photo is important, cause thats what lasts after the wedding day is over..
Every vendor I was going to save money on and go with the most affordable...including photography..I found a photo vendor that I liked and was going to book withthem...then we went to patken, and I fell in love with them, and their rates were well within my budget. we loved the people we met with, and the personality of our wedding day photographer, after meeting them i couldnt imagine using anyone else and booked them that day!

You not only have to like your photographers WORK, but you need to LIKE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER..... Face it youre surrounded by your photographer 99% of the day... Maybe they just didnt 'click' with the person they met with... There are other photographers out there and it was awesome of you to recommend your great experience to your friends... But you should keep your mind open to the fact that someone elses style struck them better... or price, or book..

On the bright side.. At least you both wont have the same 'looking' book! Relax.. and enjoy suggesting other vendors.. BUT REMEMBER its JUST A SUGGESTION!!!!!!!!!!!!

2003Oct- I am NOT upset that they did not choose my photographer, that was not the point of my post. I know everyone has different styles and tastes. I was just shocked when the photographer told me that they could not come to an agreement in terms of budget. Again I was shocked because I know this couple is spending lots of $$$ on other things and won't cough up dough for photography, which is very important.

Also, my DH spoke to the guy last night and they still have NOT booked a photographer yet because everyone is out of their price range that they want to spend.

The most important part of our day is marrying each other. Our second priority is to make sure our guest have a GREAT time... Pictures are important to me but not to blow my budget out of the water..

music and photogrpahy video- the music makes the whole wedding, and the other ones will bw reminders of your wedding for the rest of your life. I mean everything is important but those three I feel are the most..

To me its the food music and photgraphy that are most impt. As long as their is good food good music and a great photogrpaher, you'll have great memories.
