Even if they are tiny tiny tiny. As long as they are in a safe area, with an LIRR station.
I'm trying to figure out how to buy a home and be able to have a baby at the same time. UGH!

Re: OK where are the less than 300k homes???
We just bought in Shirley. Shirley/ Mastic is a VERY upcoming area and they are building like crazy here. We got a 5 bedroom for under 3 You can try Century 21 Rustic Reality. Our brokers name is Ann. She really knows the area and worked with us a long time because we had very specific needs. My husband and his family grew up here. There are plenty of 'good' areas here, the schools have a good reputation, and like I said it's very up coming. The prices were going up FAST though. When we started looking the top price was 250 for what we needed and now its 350. Like I said though, we had specific needs. You can find great buys here for VERY reasonable prices, sometimes under 2 hundred thousand. You can FM me if you see anything and need to know about the specific area/block.
