I absolutely agree, this site does feel like being back in HS sometimes but I am still here so it cannot be that bad !!!

Its also a very good wedding website with one of the most active message boards around. Also its refreshing talking to LI and not getting things mixed up by someone who doesn't understand how things are here.
Also if your having a unquic wedding like I'm having, dealing with rednecks, or non long islanders, can be a PITA's. It took a while for girls to understand my wedding ideas here, it would be worse trying to explain people who are even more set in their ways.

There was a girl who lusted after a man. She wanted him. He asked her out for a date. He was to come to pick her up at 7pm on Saturday. At 6 55pm she felt that she had to fart. She did not want to fart in the house because she knew that it would smell and she did not want to have the man think that she had a stinky house. The fart was balled up in her intestines. It hurt. She had to fart. She developed a quick plan. When he walked her to the car he would open her door. She would fart while he walked aroud the car to his door. She would open the car window and fan all of the 'offensive' gas out of the car before he got in. The man arrived at 7pm, walked her to the car and opened the door as planned. When she got in she farted, a very loud BRAAAAAAT. She opened the window and waved her hands to fan the smell out. She was comfortable. The man got in, indicated to the back seat and said, 'Oh, by the way, I want to introduce you to my parents. They are going to eat with us'.

my two cents - we are all not going to get along. if we all worked together, would be all be bff? hell no, and this is no different. however, name calling and whathaveyou has no place on here. i missed the drama, but from what i've seen in the last 2 years, i can just imagine.

VERY VERY VERY VERY FUNNY!!!

I don't know what happened here today but apparently someone offended someone else. I agree that the 'ugly' comment was definitely uncalled for. Can't we all just get along???? Christmas Christmas time is here, time for joy and time for cheer!!!

There was a comerical like that. This woman goes in the breaks wind, and the guy goes,
'Oh did you meet Karen and Mike' She turns around and sees the couple.
The guy then goes 'I have a feeling we're going to have a great night!'
And Karen replies 'oh yes, I can feel it already, I'm feeling it now.'

I was stuck on my commute home, and missed the drama....

I wish it would stop... I love this site and live on here religiously, but when it gets petty and catty, it's totally uncalled for, and depressing...

I remember when I first joined LI Weddings back in 11/04 BEFORE there was even a 2006 board. The first 2006 brides all talked about leaving drama out of our boards but obviously that vow hasn't lasted.

I love coming on here to find out about all wedding stuff but this drama is getting old & annoying! I want to read about dresses, showers, bachelorette parties, HM, BRIDE'S REVIEWS!

Kelly,I was that bride that started that original thread asking to always be friends after seeing the drama on the other boards. That was like the first week in January! I know some of the brides weren't even here yet but I do remember someone saying 'it'll never work, you'll get drama.' Boy, well, to whoever that was, you were right.

I know this sounds pathetic, but I was thinking about this as I was brushing my teeth this morning. I was thinking about how I really like all of you and if someone was to say nasty things to me, I would be really upset.

In my lowly opinion, no matter who you are on this site...whether you are someone everyone 'likes' or someone that no one really knows to well, using nasty comments like I saw yesterday is uncalled for. I like everyone and I am sad to see that during this holiday season that we have to jump down each other's throats.

We are so lucky to have the lives we have.... and I hope to never hurt anyone else on this site, regardless if they say nasty things to me or not. Happy Holidays!
