Okay I'm posting a topic and I don't care who hates me for it, Christine & Rachel....

Original post by EmberLynn

This is wedding website. We are all out to have fun and it silly to just start fights and hate threads. Look to each their own, but come on its the internet. Why is everything so serious and why do feelings need to be hurt! This is suppose to be fun, please girls can't we just get along and act like adults. I've seen threads attacking peoples taste, (NOT JUST MINE) peoples opinions, and so on. Its childish. I might be hated by everyone here after writting this, but to be honest I'm tired of it all!

I think that both ladies owed each other an apology and I dont think one is 'BIGGER' than the other to have had apologized...Rachel did apologize to Christine who then 'kind of' accepted her apology and I think thats what started the whole twirl. Lets just move on and have fun on these boards and stop siding with people and just enjoy each other. I mean come on, this is a public forum and taking things seriously is the last thing that we all should be doing. We have jobs, families and most importantly WEDDINGS to plan. So lets forget about who said what when and what...Christine-you're a great asset to this Board, you have the bomb creativity and sense of humor...lets just keep it that way and stay clear of all the drama.

ETA: And come on...we all have lives I assume outside LIW...

WELL SAID, Sylwia!!

I agree completely w/your comment Stephanie.

I admit that I have been involved with more than a few drama topics on this board.

As far as this incident specifically, I apologize about the turn it took, and what I did say to Rachael about her FI was uncalled for, and I was embarrassed that I allowed someone to keep pushing me to that point, and in turn asked for Ron to delete the post (where the thread was started by me personally, so yes, I am entitled to that.)

However, as far as how people react to certain situations, we are all different. Where someone may be able to brush it off and keep moving and ignore, I am the opposite.

When I feel that I am being personally attacked, relentlessly at that, I do come back, rather than just stepping down. Most especially when the other party involved is relentless and continues to go on and on when apologies had already been exchanged and accepted.

As far as FM's being publicly posted on a thread. It is the decision of the sender or recipient to take that action. This is a public forum and the use of FM is not PRIVATE - we do not pay to use this site or the FM feature, and therefore it is public.

I made the conscious decision to post that forum mail far long after I received it. I did not respond to it, and ignored it so that it wouldn't drum up any more drama.

The damage is already done, understandably so. I am not proud of the ONE comment that I made and have apologized for it.

However, I will say this as my final statement in regards to this - unless one saw the entire incident unfold through the various posts, then it is very difficult to gauge exactly how you feel about it.

Once again, I'm sorry that it even came to that point, but I felt attacked and had to stand up for myself and the other brides. I'm not trying to be a 'hero' or get on anyone's good side by this. Most of you know exactly what you see w/me is exactly what you get w/me. I've developed close relationships with many of you here and when someone out-right insults me or anyone else, I will be there to defend myself and others. How it unfolds later on is impossible to foresee.

this is something that we don't see often enough. an apology after the fact. it is very easy to get caught up in drama, especially when you are stressed to begin with. I think it is VERY big of Christine to do this, and I think it's unfair that the thread is now being tossed by the wayside. so many posts before, so many views after, and only ONE person says, Well said Christine, or I appreciate your candor and honesty Christine. Apology accepted maybe?

come on ladies, that's not really fair either. I wasn't around for the drama, but I can certainly spot an honest and heartfeltapology when I see one.

Chris, good show luv.

I don't think it was 'VERY' big of her to apologize...from the sounds of this thread, it sounds like her apology may have been in order. JMO.

like you, I didn't see the drama, just this apology. I just feel that anyone that apologizes should be acknowledged. my point is, she got flamed for what she said, and whether that was deserved or not (again, I didn't see the drama threads) I think AT LEAST those that flamed her should have acknowledged it. I mean, that's how 'feuds' fester.

anyway, like I said, it was my opinion that is was big of her, not really something open for contradiction. You're opinion is different and that is totally cool, but it shouldn't take away from mine.

thanks and happy holidays!

Christine,

I personally think it's great the you've acknowledged your actions and apologized for it. And I am sure everyone thinks that it is great you were able to do it. As you said, there have a been a few instances where drama has erupted and I'm glad you have owned up to this. I applaud you for apologizing.

As I've said before, and will continue to say, what I personally saw yesterday was uncalled for. I know in my own life I say things I regret and try to apologize and make 'right' with those people.

I've said this before also to stephanie and others... sometimes...instead of defending or coming back at someone on this website, it's better the let things alone. So much is not understood through email, FM and posts. You don't get 'tone' or 'inflection' and sometimes things are misconstrued.

I do not believe posting someone's FM, whether nasty (which, let's all admit WAS) or not is called for either. And I vow not to do that myself.

Again, thanks Christine for apologizing. I hope the other half of this does as well. But if she doesnt.... let's move on.

Merry Merry!

I have to disagree here. I think the fact that Christine was able to apologize says alot. She was attacked first and while maybe she said some things that were not nice, she owned up to it and apologized. The other poster did not and still has not. To insult someone and attack them is just wrong. However we all make mistakes and it takes a big person to admit it.

Hopefully from now on, we'll have a lot less drama on the boards.

I deleted Christines post merely because I felt this need not be long. As far as racheal apology she may not have been on or even seen this. Many of us have posted things, and may not have seen the replies. I'll personally FM her and give her a chance. There is no reason to point fingers. MANY of us are guilty of saying harsh things, even in t his post I have said some things aren't nice. I'm str8 forwards as well, but I do try to be to all.

Sorry to be

but I posted late last night, and I think Sylvia's post here really clarifies what I was trying to say. I didn't mean to single Christine out over Rachel or vice versa. If both ladies did apologize and I missed it, than I'm sorry for that. However, I do believe that both ladies 'owed the boards' an apology, and I just didn't believe we should be giving 'props' for something that I thought was 'due'. Sorry again for bumping this (and for all of the 'quotes' : ), just wanted to clarify a point I was trying to make last night.

Christine - you have FM.
