FIrst of all, I just wanted to thank all of your girls,for everything.. It is really tough here without any females to chat with, and you all have made this planning, so MUCH FUN!!!! also, thank you for allof your advice and concern regarding my dicky dad issue..

Today, I called my mom, and she asked me how things went with my dad, I told her he was being an a$$ and she said not to worry about it.. But then, I got upset, because if my dad isn't going to be there, then am I jsut supposed to eliminate the 'father daughter dance' out of our wedding? and my mom said no, my step dad would be honored.. but the walking down the aisle situation is still not good, because my mom 'mentioned' it to my step-dad and he said that he doesn't know if it's appropriate for him to walk me down the aisle because my dad is still alive? but my dad won't be there, so It is appropriate right?? anyway.. my mom, said dont' worry about it because 'I want to walk you down the aisle' we've been through everything together, why wouldn't we go through this together'??

AWWW!!!!!!!!! I LOVE HER SO MUCH!!!! She has been so excited for me, and helpful, and she is my best friend.. I just wanted to tell you all that.. so it looks like me and mom are walking down the aisle together.. how does that sound?????????

You could even have both ur stepdad and ur mom walk u down the aisle...i'm having both of my parents walk me down the aisle

my mom alkso walked me down the aisle with my brother because my dad passed away. i think that your mom made you she should be the one that gives you away

My father is alive, but but be at the wedding...I will have my stepfather walk me down. He and my mother have been married since I was 16 and I love him more than anything~especially now that he almost didn't make it ti my wedding. HOwever, DAWNIE had him walk her half way down and at the break in the pew, he handed her off to my mother and she gave her away. Just an idea if you want to honor both.

That is very sweet. It is great to have a special relationship with your mom. My dad passed away, so my mom walked me down the aisle also. It was great

I think that is great ~ AND I would like to just suggest that maybe you should do a Mother- Daughter dance. My close friend had her mother walk her down the aisle and they danced together at the reception ~ it was so touching. This also was the case for my FH's brother in law's wife.
