On budget wedding venue help

I think Swan Club would work with you.. .they quoted me the lowest out of all the places I went to (except leonards) for a friday night... CHCC was not willing to go that low.. neither was Jericho or Wesbury Manor...
Believe it or not my FSIL got a GREAT rate for Fox Hollow in March... I am almost positive she is paying under 70pp... Going off-peak on a friday is your best bet... from what I have been told and depending on the venue Nov-April is offpeak....some places narrow it to Jan-April. Good Luck!

This post has really put my mind at ease for some reason. I was looking into having my wedding on a Sat night but the prices are so high and we are paying for it by ourselves. But I thought that Sat night was the best time for everyone. After reading everyone's posts I feel so much better about having it even on a Friday night. You girls are right if they truly want to be there they will be!

ITA... we opted for a Friday night, and sent out our STDs a year in advance... if they want to come, they will... plus our wedding is at 630pm.. its not going to KILL people to leave early from work!!! They have a years notice to make arrangements!

heyy thanks girl.. i checked out floral and jericho terrace, and they were over $100pp . . i also checked the prices online for some of the others u listed and they were over 70 as well but ill check on the ones you listed that i havent checked. thanks =]

Sundays are much cheaper than saturday, probably even a Friday. I would say look at the Riviera in Massapequa. such a beautiful place and we were quoted $68pp for a sunday. good luck!

you can have a Saturday wedding if you want too. I really wanted a Saturday wedding and I compromised a Saturday night for a Saturday day. My friend just had a wedding onn a friday night and had all her guests turn up Like everyone said of they love you they will be there no matter what

I went to 2 Thursday night weddings this summer and both had AMAZING turnouts.....1 girl invited 280 and got 240!

Thurs wedding are not uncommon these days!!! i would rather a Thurs wedding than Sunday... but either day of the week, your wedding will be FAB no matter what.....based on bride's reviews, feedback from other bridal websites, your guest will come!!

dont assume anything esp with open bar,free food...and advance notice!!

if anything it will wee out the 'seat warmers' and the people who really matter will be there...

a recent LIW bride had her summer wedding @ Westbury Manor on a Wednesday and all 130+ guests showed!! i thought that was awesome! and it goes to show ... you dont have to change your plans for others... others will change their plans for you...

its your day, not theirs! so pick any day you want... send a STD a year an advance and save your $$$
