on the topic of money . . .

what are u going to do during the reception?

some of my vendors want cash that night and i am nervous having lots of $$ around.

do some catering halls have safes on the premise?

With most of my vendors I have the option of cash/certified check. I am going to go with the certified check. It just makes me feel better.

the company that i am using for the band will only take cash. i am really nervous about having that much around in cash.

I'm sure that they will take the money early if you can do that. That's what I plan to do.

We have to pay some vendors in cash the day of so I have assigned a family member to be in charge of that. I will supply him with the envelopes with the cash and ask him to either give them to the vendors or I will.

I also had a trusted family member hold the envelopes and he handed them out during the first hour of the reception.

I will probably have a family member (like my Uncle) or someone hold it. But, usually there is a safe in the bridal suite. I know at some weddings I've been to the best man does it (but I want ours to drink and relax). My uncle can drink, relax, and still be in control of the whole situation thats why I'll probably pick him.
