One of my BMs just backed out

I'm so upset. One of my BMs had to back out because of financial reasons. She is one of my closest friends and she feels terrible, but I understand why. I'm just so bummed

I think I'm going to do something like that. This way she is still part of the day without the financial commitment.

I know how you feel one of my closest friends hadto back out for personal reason although it hurts and it will take a little while to get over at the end of the day I want her in my life so I am letting go and I hope she is able to make it to my wedding

i have to say that i am very sorry for you - but proud of your BM at the same time.

There are THOUSANDS of girls on here who complain (mostly rightfully so) about their BM's not doing things, skipping parties, not contributing, not doing hair/makeup for financial reasons. This does nothing but stress out the bride....

your friend realized her constraints and spoke to you about them. that took a LOT of courage on her part...

maybe you can ask her to do a reading at the ceremony, or something like that - to still make her feel included?

Thankfully my friend lives here so she doesn't have to worry about travel expenses. She is so upset about it. I'm not hurt by any means. I don't want her to be in any financial trouble because of my wedding. It just suckss

I give her a lot of credit. I can only imagine the embarassment she is going through having to tell me she has to back out because of financial reasons. That is not something easy to say. I will have her do a reading so she is still part of the day.

I think I'm going to do something like that. This way she is still part of the day without the financial commitment.

I think she will really appreciate that!!

ohhh Michele- so sorry to hear that- I think it shows what an amazing friend you have that she was able to talk to you about that! That could not have been easy- but I think you have a great attitude about still wanting her to be involved!
