One of my BMs just backed out

definitely a great idea to incorporate her another way as much as you can....I'm sure that was very hard for her to do!

Awwe that *****.. But like others said at least she was honest and told you. One of my BM's i know backed out.. cause she told my sister in January.. I have talked to her and seen her a few times since then, i even gave her the option of backing out since i knew she had financial issues and still she didnt said anything.

I have a friend who was possibly going to ask me to be a BM and I told her MOH to say something about me not having much money due to the 3 weddings Im in before hers. If she had asked me I would have had to say that I dont have the money and it wouldnt be fair to the other BMs. I think for some people it is really hard to say that to a friend, but at the same time honesty is appreciated!

i have to say that i am very sorry for you - but proud of your BM at the same time.

There are THOUSANDS of girls on here who complain (mostly rightfully so) about their BM's not doing things, skipping parties, not contributing, not doing hair/makeup for financial reasons. This does nothing but stress out the bride....

your friend realized her constraints and spoke to you about them. that took a LOT of courage on her part...

maybe you can ask her to do a reading at the ceremony, or something like that - to still make her feel included?

I can't imagine having to do that and I hope I'm never in a position like this. I know it wasn't easy to do and I told her not to stress about it. I said I want her involved in my wedding and she can do something that doesn't involve a financial commitment.

She has no problem telling me she has no money, she just wont tell me she doesnt want to be in the bridal party which at this point is getting annoying. Since she wouldnt return my calls i wrote her a long email saying I understood her situation and that it would be fine if she needed to step down from being in the bridal party, but she didnt answer me .... . I would tell her i already know and that its ok but she told my sister not say anything to me so she could tell me herself.. and well its been 4 months.. Im thankful my sis has a big mouth lol.
