One-Stop Bridal Shops?

Hi!

Has anyone had experience with or heard anything (good or bad) about one-stop bridal shops? Not sure how mainstream they are, but there are a few in Flushing's Chinatown that basically do everything for you (dresses -- they do rentals as well as sales, alterations, flowers, limo, photo, video, invites, hair, makeup, etc.) in one package.

My mom went to check them out for me today and got a ridiculously (suspiciously...) good price quote for doing everything, so it's really tempting.

My guess is that no one else has done this sort of thing, but I wanted to see if anyone had heard of such establishments...?

Here are the names of three:
True Love Wedding
Wedding Hills
Wedding Box

Re: One-Stop Bridal Shops?

My FH is Chinese and all his friends get married this way. I have heard mainly good things but some girls do run into problems. You are limited in options too but the prices are very good. I'm gonna see a bunch of the girls on Sunday at a baby shower, do you want me to get more details? Do you have any specific questions?

Re: One-Stop Bridal Shops?

One of the girls in my office who is asian did this and she said that it worked out fine and i know another one of my friends who is going to be a bridesmaid in another Asian wedding is also doing this she just said it is a little hard to get the dress perfect to your body but somehow it all works out. If you are thinking about this I would definitely check it out in person to make sure it's what you really want.

Re: One-Stop Bridal Shops?

Thanks everyone. One shop gave me a range of as low as $4,000 (yes, for EVERYTHING) to $7,000.

One of my cousins went through a one-stop shop place from Flushing and her wedding was fine. But as enticing as those prices are, I'm just not sure I trust the service...

But in case anyone else is on a budget, know that this kind of stuff is out there!
