Giving the Garter and the Bouquet to the winners of the Anniversary dance. We are still going to take the garter off but then we will give them to the longest married couple.

Re: Opinion
i think either way is nice. remember its your day and you have to decide with your fh, and whatever you guys decide to do on your day is ok. personally, i am doing it. i have always dreamed of my wedding and to me its just so traditional & i can't wait!

Re: Opinion
We didn't do the boquet or the garter toss. I've always hated being herded onto the dance floor to do it, so Ithough I'd save my single friends the same misery. Besides that, I've been to a few wedding where no one even tried to catch the bouquet, and it hit the ground... As for the garter, I think that's just plain silly. Just my opinion, of course.

Re: Opinion
We didn't do either one. Most of our guests were married, but even if they had not been neither of us felt comfortable with the whole idea. We did the anniversary dance and the bouquet went to my husband's aunt and uncle who have been married for 65 years!!! He is 91 and she is 86. Watching them still so happy together after so many years was a gift for everyone else!

Re: Opinion
We didn't do it. Instead we dedicated flowers to our two grandmothers. Everyone seemed touched, especially them!
