Well, I don't want him going, those places are sleezy and I think that is a tradition that needs to be stopped. Why should a man who has committed to be with someone be so blantely looking at other women. I trust my FH completely and if his groomsmen want to take him there I am not going to throw a hissy, but I still don't agree with it.

I don't mind strip clubs if im there.. however if im not its a big no no ..

There should be a third option on here I can't say I don't care, because I wouldn't love it if FH went to a strip club, but I'm not particularly worried and would never tell him he can't go. Of course I hate the idea of these women grinding on him, but he's gone a few times in the past with friends either for a birthday, bachelor party or guys vacation. To be honest, I've been to more strip clubs than him - in my early days, and used to go with my ex, but I'm just not into that anymore. And FH would NEVER go with me anyway , but things are just different now for me than in my early 20's.

Lastly, I've been debating whether to post this or not because I don't want to throw a bunch of people into an uproar, but not ALL of these clubs are that innocent. I have guy friends that go to some to get action. I haven't heard of any in the NY area, but I know of incidents in RI. Some of those private rooms are more private than you think. Of course this is at the shadier places - you're not going to see it at Scores or Foxy Lady, but even I was propositioned by a female stripper at a shady club on LI. I was designated driver for my ex and his friends, his friends wanted to go, and I didn't really care either way, but I'm not into THAT. I'm sure 99% of the clubs out there are legit, but I had a friend recently cheat on his GF AT a strip club with a stripper, and just thought I should share.

I personally don't care. But everyone has their opinion on this. I do think however, that they can find something better to spend their money on. Besides, FI isn't into that kinda scene anyway. But we shall see what the 'boys have planned for him

Have any of you ladies been to a strip club?

They are really not that bad. I have been to a few -- on certain instances where we have had ladies night out and the guys went out too, a few of my girlfriends and i met our boyfriends at the strip club- but we were quite drunk, and u know what- it was not that bad.. the girls were more interested in US than the men.. seriously!!!!!!!!!

the guys can't touch the girls anyway-- it is much different than a strip club that us ladies would go to.

i guess i'm just trying to ease your mind. these girls that dance in the club, are pigs-

You know for all the ladies that feel insecure, I feel really bad that you feel that way. You are all beautiful and intelligent that's what made your fh attracted to you and then propose to marry you. I think most men will not do something to ruin that relationship and the future that they have planned with you. I guess part of the reason why I'm not worried about this is because fh and I have been together for 8.5 years already, our sex life is still great and he still acts like a horny teenage by around me most of the time. So I know he's not looking for some 'action' anywhere else. I feel like being insecure can really hurt you own self esteem and sometimes make your fh tired of telling you how beautiful and great you are if you won't believe it so I decided I'd just believe it myself! lol

Well....I would be mad, just because he is going to look at other girls....
But on the other hand, I know that at strip clubs guys CANNOT touch the girls, my FH is grossed out by them so I dont think he would touch them anyway and lastly he's probably too cheap to pay for a lap dance....I'm just nervous about what his friends will get him at his bachelor party.

i dont care at all! i can count on one hand how many times he has gone and i've been prob. been with him when he has gone for half of those occassions...

HA!! Isn't that the truth.

I ABSOLUTELY agree!! Male strippers do things both on stage and off that should worry men more than we worry about them. It's a double standard in that respect, but it's so true. Women go CRAZY at male strip joints and they are much worse than men (not that I've ever been to one - wink wink).

But I have no problem with men going to strip clubs. Most men only go for B-Day parties or Bachelor parties so it's a seldom occurrence. I trust my FH and I honestly don't think he would do anything to jeopardize our relationship. But I DO want him to HAVE FUN and enjoy himself with his friends. It is part of the male bonding experience (not for all men I know), and in my opinion - it's harmless.

Besides - when he comes home he's 'READY TO ROLL' and I get to reap all the benefits.

maybe at those chippendale clubs--but the ones i've been too. well--them boys were NOT gay...and i know this cause they always would try and take home some of girls at the shoes. (and more often than not...they DID!--i know some!) HAHAHA!!!
