We got the call last night that FHs cousin, our best man, is going to be deployed to Iraq in September for 18 months. Plus he just got married a month ago He's going to be stationed in Baghdad, which is where all the hardcore fighting is.
My brother is going to be the best man now, but I am so worried about FH's cousin. This will be the 3rd time he's being sent over there! And the first thing I saw on the news this morning was that 5 more soldiers were killed in Baghdad.

I'm so sorry to hear. He must be one helluva soldier to have to go back on a third tour--so that means he knows what he's doing and will stay safe.

I'm so sorry to hear that
We were actually going thru the same thing about a month ago. FH's childhood friend and best man was being deployed due to ready recall... he'd been out of the army for 2 years, but they were calling him back. He went down to GA for basic training and met with a psych counselor who deemed him unfit to go back... we're thanking our lucky stars!

I'm so happy that it worked out that way for him. I don't see it happening for us though. This poor guy has had such bad luck. His dad died last the first time he was over there and they sent him home and promised he wouldn't have to go back. Well, 3 months later he was back in Iraq!!

i think it's ridiculous that they keep sending these people back over there. i have a friend who's been there and back three times. enough is enough already. i'll keep him in my prayers.

I think it's ridiculous too. FH BMs brother went there already and is also being deployed back. So sorry to hear this!
