FH just called me to tell me we will have to move on May 1. They raised our rent by $550/month!!!! That is soo ridiculous! I love living in Manhattan, but the rent is sooo expensive. Our apartment is a tiny little thing and they want us to pay $2,500/month! Ahhh!!! I guess we are moving to Queens...I really don't want to, but I guess it makes the most sense for us right now. That really blows.... I dont understand how they expect people to live today..... hey moving to queens isnt that bad... fh lives in queens i have kinda grown accustom to it now.... plus im that much closer to my mets![]()

But I can totally sympathize cause the same thing happened to me. I was paying $1280 for a walk-up studio on 14th Street and they bumped it up to $1800![]()

I lived for a very short time on the border of Rego Park/Forest Hills. I don't know where you work in the city, but I would take the LIRR...it was about a 20 minute commute.
My broker was FANTASTIC. FM if you want his info.
But I can totally sympathize cause the same thing happened to me. I was paying $1280 for a walk-up studio on 14th Street and they bumped it up to $1800

2500 a month is way more than our condo which is huge. I think it is time for you to move, you can get so much more for your money and it can be something you own

wow...my mortgage is less than that! you can definately get a decently sized home on li for that each month
