Paradise Bridal

Hey Ladies,

After some AWFUL experiences at other bridal salons I was ecstatic to find that the service and attention given at Paradise Bridal exceeded my every expectation for the process... The only issue that I have is that they REFUSE to tell me the designer of my gown before I make a final purchase.

I understand what business savvy means, I understand that they don't want me to use their services and then buy the gown somewhere else, but oh my goodness, if I blatantly tell you that I am ready to order and simply want to find shoes to match the dress WHY WOULDN'T YOU TELL ME THE DESIGNER?!?

The only dresses that I tried on that they didn't mind telling me were Maggie dresses and that was only because her name is repeated on the straps that you hang the dress from...

Sigh, okay my aggravated rant is over, I am going to order my dress from there but I really wish they weren't so secretive about everything.

I also just got my dress at Paradise Bridal. I was there on Saturday morning 6/5 and my friend's mom is the head seamstress so I had a little more attention than most people would but I noticed the same thing with the designer. I thought it was weird. When I asked the consultant she kind of mumbled the name and I just let it go but I did notice it. I will tell you that I have been in 9 weddings and have probably been to every bridal salon from Kleinfeld's to Fantasia and Paradise Bridal is definitely one of the best. As a bride I went there first - I did have an obvious reason because of my friends mom but they are nice there and really helpful.

I got my prom dresses and a couple of bridesmaid dresses from Bridal Suite in Centereach and they were on the bottom of my list. Too many issues, nasty consultants and WAY too many issues with alterations.

I LOVE the dress I ordered and am glad you found your dress as well!! Good luck!

I got mine there too!! It was my favorite salon that I went to and I went to alot. I stopped looking when I found them. I was upset too about the designer thing but I didn't care who it was as long as I loved it and I knew I wanted to get it from them. I was so comfortable there that I trusted the price they gave me since I know alot of other girls that have gotten their gowns from there.

But don't you think you are entitled to it before paying? I feel so uncomfortable, like it makes sense but the way that they answered me when I asked made it seem so shady lol! I just feel like I should still have control over what I am ordering... The girl I met with was waaaay to willing to adjust the price, like she even said she would before I said anything about it... Isn't that weird?

Re: Paradise Bridal

I've heard that about Paradise before but they had no qualms about telling me the designer names. Maybe because I seemed pretty confident I was purchasing my dress that day and she knew it. But I worked with Patty and she told me.

Good to know! I was SUPER confident about buying it I just needed to make sure my mom was with me. I even booked the next appointment while I was there... Sigh, maybe the next appointment will be different haha

Yes, they were very secretive about the designer when I was there. I could tell from the style of the dress what designer it was, and I said to my mom what it was, and a saleslady shushed me.

Re: Paradise Bridal

i got my dress there as well and thought the whole secretiveness of the designers was dumb, but whatever. i was pretty much able to tell who the designers were for the dresses i was interested in so it was not a huge deal. as soon as you purchase your dress or they know you are going to purchase through them they will tell you (and let you take pictures). also, i know some consultants are more willing to release that info rather than others. good luck!

So weird and silly! I had EVERYONE with me, so it was kinda obvious I wasn't leaving without a dress (unless my mom was extremely unhappy with the customer service we received there).

A tip I picked up from other bridal salons- some cut the hanging straps with the names on it out and put their own on so you don't know the designer, but more often then not they forget there's also a strap on the inside of the train. It's not always printed but if you really wanna know the designer name, it's worth a peek. HTH!

I did look at the straps! There was no name - sad times...

So ummm I ordered the dress and they still refuse to tell me who the designer is... Sketchy much? Or am I just being too nosey about my own dress lol whatever it's gorgeous, and I know that I was radiant in it

Even better... TWO brides saw me in it and immediately turned to their sale's girls and said they wanted to try it on. Talk about being flattered without a compliment

Um, that is ridiculous! Did they say why they would not tell you? Who was your consultant? If you took pictures of the dress you should post them. usually the girls on here are pretty good at knowing/finding the designer/dress.

Who is helping you at paradise? I think it depends who you get.

I used to work there and we always were allowed to tell the designer, let the brides take pictures once they purchased the dress. Who did you work with?

The only thing that made me feel uncomfortable was the name situation. But I understand from a business perspective why they do that, it doesn't make sense to supply a good part of LI Brides with great customer service and a HUGE selection of sample dresses to try on and then lose them all to random online bridal stores that are selling them for half the price...

I did wish that I was told the designer by the time I left but the name isn't why I bought the gown to begin with.

I have to say though that they saw one of my posts on here and got in contact with me and now I FINALLY know my designer!!!

WOOHOO!!!

Geeze, what other bridal shop takes their work home with them like this?!
