Paradise Bridal Question!!!

Hey girls, so I just got the call that my dress is in! I am very excited BUT I have one concern. My consultant put my contract date as 5/15, but my wedding is really 6/15. She said this was to make sure that it came in on time.

Now, I scheduled my 1st fitting for April 4th, but she said I have to pay for my dress by my contract date. Does that mean I have to take it home by that date and have all my alterations done? My cousin said to have the last fitting a week before the wedding.

Has this ever happened to anyone else in general or at Paradise in particular?! THANKS!

Re: Paradise Bridal Question!!!

I didn't get my dress from Paradise but I had to pay the balance due within 7 days of it arriving at the store. I will pay for the 1st part of alterations (taking it in and hem) prior to them starting work. Once this is completed I will then pay for the bustle.
My dress arrived at the store more than 4 months prior to my date, they are currently holding it. I haven't started alterations yet and I will be picking it up the week before my wedding.

Paradise Bridal Question!!!

That sounds right to me, however I think that theyre being very lenient by not expecting it to be paid for in full prior to starting your fittings. From what they told me when I ordered, it had to be paid in full PRIOR to starting fittings. I would call and double check because I would think that since your first fitting is 4/1 then you would need to be PIF by 4/1.

Paradise Bridal Question!!!

I called and they said all I need to do is pay the balance of the dress by my contract date. They will then note the date for the REAL date once it's paid and I would just have to pay for alterations at the end and they will store it for free!

Paradise Bridal Question!!!

Just tell them that you had to change the date since you ordered it and now it's in June. No way would I want my last fitting a month before. My fittings were all fine but I demanded the third bc you never know!
