Parent problem

Okay, here's my dilema. My parents divorced when I was in college and I lived w/ my mom until I moved in w/ FH. Anyway, my mom wants to walk me down the aisle along w/ my father whereas my father says no. FH says it sounds like a weird idea but I have seen it done before even in non-Jewish ceremonies. As if wedding planning isn't stressful enough Any ideas???

My mom is by all means walking me down the aisle with my father. They divorced when I was little, and I love my dad, but if he gave me a problem about it... well the my mom would walk me down alone. Mom is too important to me not to walk me down the aisle.

Explain to Dad that if your mom does not join you walking down the isle she basically has no part of the ceremony - and this is how you want it - end of story - this is 2002 and you can do whatever you want!

That's what I tried explaiing to my dad. That me and him have a special dance whereas me and my mom have none. So at least she gets to join in on something!

I've seen this done plenty of times. Go for it, your Dad will have to understand this is what you want !!!!! I'm sure it will all turn out fine.
