Parent's Entrance into Reception

Hey girls,

So my fiancé and I are trying to figure out what to do with FFIL. FH's mother passed away a few years ago, so we wondered what to do about his announcement and entrance into the reception. Should he just go in alone?

He doesn't date, FH has no sisters that he could send FFIL in with, and no close aunts or grandmothers either. And we can't scratch the parents entrance because I know my parents want to do it.

My moms suggestion, which I'm leaning towards, is to have him go in with my parents. My mom could just have one man on each arm, and the MC could announce them as the parents of the bride and groom.

Thoughts??

Parent's Entrance into Reception - Long Island Weddings

I'm having FH father, who is also a widow, walk In with ith his other daughter in law. FH brother is in the bridal party but not the brothers wife so I though it was a good way to include her too since I'm close with her.

I would ask him first what he's more comfortable with. Both ideas sound great!

What a wonderful idea your mom had!! I'm sure your FFIL will feel honored that she and your father are willing to share their moment in the spotlight so that he doesn't have to walk in alone!

I think your Mom's idea is super sweet and would be great! A female from your FH's side would also work. Just make sure your FFIL is comfortable with the decision. And if you end up choosing someone outside of the wedding party to be included make sure both you and your FH are comfortable with them being involved in that part of the wedding.
