Parents gifts...what did you get your parents (or what are you thinking of getting them)??????

I'm clueless as in what to buy mine and FH's parents as their thank you presents for our wedding. Can you guys either post what you got your's and FH's parents or give me a round about idea of what we should be spending. TIA

no that's ok. I'm just looking for ideas. My parents are doing SO much and I want to show our gratitude to both mine and FH's parents. But I have no idea what to do/buy.

I got my mom the Lenox Mother's Loving Touch statue, I bought my dad a picture frame with Daddy's Little Girl engraved on it with two picture slots with the dates of my bday and wedding day on it... and we got MIL a Lenox frame that has room for wedding pic and invitation... They all loved it

Not married yet, but I bought my mom a chandelier. She needed and wanted it, so why not???

We too are paying for our wedding, but she bought my dress. I know if she could, she would do a lot more.

For dad, I followed suit with the GM's gifts - 7 piece Dakota tool. I know he'll like it and it's useful. Pic in my album.

The mom's are being presented with Roses at the ceremony... I'm not giving gifts... FH's parent's aren't giving anything toward the wedding. For my parent's - their gift is that I didn't elope in Vegas to be married by an Elvis impersonator!

I think for the mothers we might get bathrobes that have Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom on them. We'll probably get a little something else also. No idea what we're getting for the fathers.

I had a hard time with this too. Our parents both did a lot for us so we are getting them gift certificates to a hotel to spend a night whenever they chose and we ordered them authentic Celtic frames (we got engaged on St. Pat's) with the wording of the songs we are dancing with them to inside the frames.

What about one of those dinner cruises? then you can get your mom maybe a little gift cert. to the spa for before hand.. and your dad some good cigars if they smoke them?

We were thinking about geting both sets of parents plane tickets somewhere to go away after the wedding.....maybe even to meet up with us on the second week of our honeymoon....not sure......
