Villa Lombardis makes us choose if we want our guest to have an Intermezzo (sorbet) or the Pasta Course. I prefer the pasta but FI wants the intermezzo.
I know we have time to decide but it seems to come up every time we go to a wedding/catering hall.
And I don't want to do both (cause then we have to pay extra). What would you guys rather have? Intermezzo or Pasta?

I personally would rather have the intermezzo but with my Italian family, FH thinks it's better to have the pasta. I guess I am in the same boat as you.

Intermezzo.... everyone is SOO stuffed after the cocktail hour. Gives them the chance to take it easy before they tear into a steak or the other main entrees.

Intermezzo...it will be summer and hot, people prob. won't want a heavy pasta in their stomach while dancing! Also, if you have a pasta dish in your coctail hour, it might be too much.

We had that choice as well and we're most likely going with the pasta course... italian family will look for pasta.. but i understand what people mean by if you have pasta at your cocktail hour, maybe the intermezzo is the better choice..... if we do end up with the pasta as a course, we may not choose pasta for the cocktail hour.

At CLM I don't think we get a choice, but I would def go with the Intermezzo if I had a choice. CH is going to have TONS of pasta and I LOOOVVVVEEEE sorbet! Oh well!

yes there will be 2 pasta dishes at the cocktail hour.

Well to make it easy, do you have pasta stations at the cocktail hour?? If so, then I would go with the Intermezzo. That is what I am probably doing.

Russos has it set up that you do pasta...and then intermezzo....
If they would have given me the choice...I just would have done intermezzo...
It's 'a nice sorbet to cleanse the pallette'...if you like all that fancy schmancy talk
