Was just informed by MOH of the expectation that the bride pays of the hair and makeup of the bridemaids. I thought I only had to pay if I made them look a certain way, but I told them I will leave the hair and makeup choices up to them. With that said, she came back to tell me that I needed to book them a hair and makeup person. I did not budget for this! Please help me find a hair and makeup person who does good work (I do want them to look good!) but will not make me broke. I'd echo what the other girls have said. Providing hair and makeup is not required, but a nice touch if you can afford it. I definitely think these can be part of your gift to the bridal part if you want to do it. Either way its up to you entirely.
I paid for my four girls hair and makeup in lieu of giving them a material gift. It was my choice, and I wanted them to look a certain way. You are not obligated to do this.
