I thought I would spend a small fortune on my wedding dress as well... believe it or not before I found this dress everything I tried on was 2k or more... I got lucky in that this dress was only $800 at commack wedding center.. but i have an ad from a bridal magazine saying it should only be $650 so they will honor that price. I saw TUNS of GORGEOUS dresses there for $800 and lower. most were between $500-800. eta - dont go by pictures alone! I had seen this dress tuns of times in magazine and never gave it a second look.. you really dont know what is right for you untill you try it on so just have an open mind when you go.. the salespeople can usually tell you what will flatter/look good on you... thats who picked out my dress! take their advice!!
Did you try looking on the internet? I was quoted $1400 for my dress. Looked on the internet and found same exact dress for $640. I kidd you not!!! I dont care how much alterations are, they wont be as much as going to the salon and getting it done.

My dress, veil & headpiece together was about $1700.. Then there was the bra and slip which was $179 and $49, and then the alterations which cost about $200 giving me a grand total of... $2,128, give or take a few.

My gown was $1000 at Valentina's in Brooklyn. I got a free veil, free headpiece, free slip and free alternations with the purchase of my gown. Here is one pic from my first fitting.

You should try RK Bridal. I've heard of a lot of girls go here and they cost less. I'll post the address.

I think that is pretty reasonable for all that you say is included. I have seen tiaras and veils cosing as much as 300 each (sometimes more). Now if the bra was 200 bucks, I think you can find one cheaper somewhere.

Mine was $1600 at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa, but I got 10% b/c it was a trunk show. It was $1400 at Lilettes in Baldwin.
I am also wearing the Maggie Sottero Dion and got it at the Bridal Suite of Bay Shore for $1010. I ordered my headpiece, veils and slip there as well and it all came to about $1600-1700. I love my dress!

My dress was $6300 before anything. The alterations (I think) are $500. Hope that makes you feel better!!
