Hi Ladies, Can someone let me know if this is weird or what!?
I was quote a price for a package about 1.5 months ago and we were fine with it but did not recieve the contract. We were planning on meeting with the photographer in 3 weeks to drop of the deposit. I really loved her photos so I knew she would be great. I emailed her to see if I could see the contract before we meet and she said she had to raise her pricing due to demand. We moved our meeting to Dec, so I would be charged 2010 pricing instead of our original meeting in January. Is this shady?? She has gotten great reviews and her photos are amazing.
What should I do?

That seems shady to me. Why didn't she send you a contract from the get-go?

Yeh that would leave a bad taste in my mouth as well. She could have at least stuck with what she quoted you, and half for a deposit is steep. If you want to stick with this person I would talk to her about the concerns you have and get EVERYTHING IN WRITING!

Yikes- i didn't read about the 50% deposit!
We put $700 down on a $3700 package...

Thats BS that is so shady. did you get any king of quote writen down. if you really like her i would be like , we decided on you at the price you gave us and are ready to book , if you are going to raise the price we wont be booking with you.
