I'm trying to book a photographer and I've was recommended a couple of places. I'm having a hard time making any kind of decision. Anyone heard any good or bad things about them? It would be really helpful. Thanks!
My friend used Patken, and her pics were beautiful!! We didn't like how her proofs had patken on tthe front of them though.

I've seen a lot of nice things about Patken & Sherwood Triart.
My photographer is amazing - Gary Leli. He did our engagement shoot not long ago & the same night - we had our preview pics of all the photos he took! Check out my album & feel free to FM me for info!!!
All that I have heard about Sherwood Triart is that it is very expensive but that their pictures look amazing. I am a JT bride and saw a lot of Sherwood Triart pictures at JT and they look gorgeous but, like I said, I hear that the price is steep. In my thus far limited research I found that Patken has great photos and far more reasonable prices. Hope this helps. Good luck.

i guess it goes by whoever you feel most comfortable with...most photographers use the same labs for the photo albums anyway....so figure out who you 'click' with best and whose work you like best and who works with your budget and what you are looking for.....

We are using Sherwood-Triart... they do AMAZING work... a little more expensive to others I went to, but with the work that they do, it is definitely worth it!

I am using Sherwood Triart. Yes, they are a little more than others, but I just got my e-pics back they were sooo nice! I'm looking forward to the wedding pics! FM me if you want anymore details.
Also, I met with Candid Like Life as well. The woman there was very nice and their work was beautiful as well. They were our second choice, but they are also expensive. It came out with everything we wanted that Sherwood was a little cheaper.

I used Sherwood and the album result was very nice with good shots. I have notice other posts with more interesting & greater shots by other photographers. Good luck in your search.

Ive heard good things about Patken and Sherwood. I only looked at Sherwood, I loved their work but I clicked better with my photog. I would just consider who sticks out the most in your mind, who did you really enjoy talking to etc. That was really my selling point with mine, and I loved his work

we looked at Patken but there were 2 things we did not like about their policies. 1. they wait either 6 mos or 1 yr (I don't remember which) before releasing your 'negatives' to you; 2. they pick the photographer to do your wedding based on whom THEY think is a match. So if you look at albums and like a certain photographer, I'm not sure if they will identify the person or if you request someone will you get them anyway - - you'd have to check this carefully if you care about using a certain person.
We finally went with Silverfox and so far are happy with them. Still waiting for the printed proofs but their online pics are lovely.

I haven't heard of any of them expect Patken. A friend used them and the pics came out amazing!!! My photog is FANTASTIC!! He is not the typical photog, he does mainly candid shots (which we were looking for because I so don't want to be posed...even if some photogs claim that they won't make it looked posed)....but try Leli. He is wonderful...super patient and really listens to what you want.

They aren't in Holbrook any more..I thought so too but they closed down that shop a while ago

Visual Concepts: Beautiful pictures, I thought they do great work and I like that husband/wife team effect, it's not factory-ish.
Patken: I personally didn't like their used car salesman approach, but Vinnie just did our friends' wedding and their pics are outstanding. And he was so nice to work with all day.
Sherwood Triart: Beautiful pictures...they did my cousin's wedding and her pics are amazing.
I think all three have a good output so you can't go wrong.
