What is everyone doing for photo/video? I definitely want a video but not sure if it is better to use the same company for both or do them separately? I met with JAYlim photography the other day and fell in love with their work and the photo+video seemed to be reasonably priced together....not sure what to do?????? I liked the cinematography style which is an additional cost, but it still seems like packaging them together is a better deal...I looked at patken too and they were very reasonable for both together too.

If you love the work of a company that does both, definitely get both from them you will always get a better deal. Not all companies do both so otbers who like a specific photographer will go with a different company fpr video but in my research its always been more expensive. I am using Fade to Black for both they are worth checking out. Gil is great! Good luck hope this helps!

I'm also planning on booking both with JayLim; although it would be with his associate, not JayLim himself. I like the idea of the photographer and the videographer having a prior relationship. To be honest, I think it ends up being more cost effective, too.

I booked photography and video through different companies (partially because my photographer does not do videography). I don't think it was better or worse to use two different companies - every videographer I spoke to had worked with my photographer before (and all of my other vendors) and I definitely still got a great deal on both.

I booked JAYLim and I LOVE him!! I booked AJ Ingoglia for my film. It would definitely be a better deal to do all one vendor for video/photo but I booked AJ right away and then only needed photos! Good luck :)
