What Photographers is everyone using? Did you know someone who used them? How much are you paying for them?

I've booked Natasha Staszak. I knew in 5 minutes of sitting down with her that I wanted to use her. She is so super sweet and her photographs are AMAZING!

I don't think Patken and Verdi are similar at all, JMO.

Patken takes a certain style of photos that I was very uncomfortable with- there is a strong sexual vibe to many of the pictures. I was very turned off by most of their albums, but then again, that's only my opinon, and someone else might like that style of photography. Maybe I'm a prude. It just wasn't what I was looking for. I know lots of your girls are using them and I'm sure your pictures will be beautiful- their work is excellent. If you're old fashioned like I am, you might not like them.

I'm using Patken too. I just booked them yesterday and went there to see their work. It is absolutely beautiful. Very similar to Verdi as far as photojournalism. I know several people who have used both and they are both amazing. They use all types of ink from color, to b&W, to sephia (spelling?), etc. From what I am hearing, the price for Patken is reasonable for the quality and service. I am paying about 6,300 for photographer, videographer, album with 36 pics, 3 parent albums, photo montage, zap shots and an engagement sitting. Along with 300 proofs in an album and the other sized pics.

How much is the photos and how much is the video? I was thinking about going to their studio but they sound really expensive.

I agree with you- that's why they aren't my style. I don't want people to feel like vouyers when looking at my pictures! I figured if I didn't find Grey that I could use Patken and just ask that they didn't do those pictures!

Sherwood Triart for photography and video is costing us about $5000. We just fell in love with their work. Even when we were shopping for reception halls, and we would see pictures on the walls or in the offices, when we looked it was always Sherwood Triart's work that jumped out at us. We fell in love with them. And if you ever visit their office in Woodbury - WOW!

They are top notch and I would have stretched for them except their albums are too $$ for me with what I want to do! Colorizations are extra...etc...you'll be very happy with the finished product tho! Both of my MOH brothers used them and one of their brides is in an award winning shot of theirs, and on their newest sample sheet!
