Photography Prices!?

So I just called two MAIN places and we are looking at $4,500 for photo and video?!

Does that seem high or is it just me!?

I thought it seemed high at first too, but that's actually more reasonable than any other quote I've gotten. I haven't received anything lower than 5,000 for both.

The place I'm in LOVE with is sooo expensive and as much as I love pictures, I'm trying to decide if it's worth it. The photo alone STARTS at 4500!

Yea, I was shocked at first too but it seems that's how it is. I feel like that's less expensive than where most places quoted me. We got photo and video for $5000 which includes parent albums, our album, thank yous, enlargements and all that kinda stuff. If you don't want some of that then you can get a cheaper price by taking out the parent albums or your album, etc.

This is making me depressed!! I'm spending $4500 on just my videographer and found a photoghrapher for $3400 today. This is the area that we have been the craziest about so I guess we don't mind spending the extra money

I booked Thomas Paul and was surprised at how resonably priced he was! I was also part of weddingcashback so I think we got 20 percent off that def helped on the price! We didn't go with his video bc I wanted a more contemporary approach and we met with couped up productions! My friend has used them for their recent wedding, he was amazingly priced and super nice as well! We are paying 5000 all together with thomas pauls highest package and biggest album and couped ups middle package, so you can def book both a bit less expensive! Good luck!

What is weddingcashback? Is it for all vendors and can you use it for vendors you already booked? Sorry for all the questions...I saw 20% back and my eyes lit up! Happy Thanksgiving!

I went to a bridal show and this guy was there registering everyone. Just go on bridalcashback.com and register! You get a card to print up and you can search vendors that use it! Not alot do, and I've honestly only used it when booking Tom but 20 percent helps! We were able to purchase his biggest album! So you print out this card and you just give the number to any vendor that you book that accepts it! :) I dunno if you can use it for vendors you booked but it's worth a try!

That definitely seems to be the going rate for both, but you can definitely spend less and get a quality package!

Try Fade to Black too. Gil is GREAT about working with your budget!

You guys so definitely look into elssolproductions. I booked them for my wedding and was very very happy with my package (for both video and photography). Best quote I got after I met with six other photographers.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to check this out! TP has been great to work with and has definitely worked within our budget, so I'm ok with not having this site for him, but I still have the florist, limo and other smaller things to book, so I'm definitely going to check it out. Thanks!

look around, i found a photographer/ videographer for around 4000 with most included, sometimes you have to sacrifice, maybe have parents buy their own albums? etc

Those prices are way too high for me, but I do think they are relatively 'normal' for what I have seen around here. Honestly, I plan on using a somewhat independent photographer (she definitely has a following, but doesnt work for one of the major companies). She did our engagement shoot and was so wonderful. I am sure we won't get the huge bridal album that is where the bulk of the cost comes from, but my sister is into graphic design and can do all of that for me. The photos are for your lasting memories of the day, and they are most important but I just cant see spending soooo much for something that all of the guests will be doing the whole night themselves!

photography is so expensive however I am booked with patken photographers. their work is amazing.ask for doug, he will work with your budget.
