Photos &Video help!!

Who did you book with and what made you choose them??

We still have not officially booked but the way that we narrowed it down was this:

1. We had to meet with the actual photographer before booking

2. We wanted the photographer to be the main one, we're not paying full price for a 'name' and not getting the real thing

3. We wanted to make sure that everything was done in the US and that the company was not out sourcing somewhere and giving us a cookie cutter album and video

4. We have to see an actual sample of a full video, not the 10 minute reel that some places have set up for you

5. Price matters but quality also does as well, even though some places were cheaper, the quality and reputation were unbeatable :)

Edit: 6. Time was also a huge factor for us, we need a photographer for at least 11.5 hours if not a solid 12 and many photographers were not willing to stay the entire time or would charge us an extra fee for staying 'overtime'.

Our wedding is going from 3-12:30 so time is a HUGE factor. :)

We booked Thomas Paul for many reasons. His pictures and gorgeous and the quality of his work is amazing. He is sooo down to earth!! When we met with him we sat and talked to him for a long time!! He also showed us tons of albums and a full video. He even showed us Save the Dates that he was working on on his computer. His prices are good too.

We booked Patken for Photos and Video mainly b/c they negotiated their price with us more than any other photographers we saw. They also take amazing pictures and included so much in their package, including e-shoot, stds, etc.

lisamarie photography in rocky point...lisa is the owner and she is the sweetest..she takes pictures that have meaning and really takes pride in her work...her portfolios are amazing...her prices are reasonable too.... shes so worth it!!

FH and I booked with Lia from Imagine Studios. We chose her because her work is absolutely gorgeous, she has amazing reviews, we clicked with her right away, and because we honestly couldn't imagine having another photographer at our wedding. I also love how her photos have a very soft, romantic feel to them. See below for a link to their website:

We went with Danny's team at duet. I knew they were perfect because Danny has a nice mix of photojournalistic pics and traditional, and the first time I went to see their videos at their studio, my sister in law and I cried like babies.

We booked with Proline. I went with FSIL there and too Glenmar. They were both pretty much the same price but I felt I got a little more with Proline. Mom and FSIL loved them too.

We are using TP as well. We had seen many photographers but we clicked with him. Plus we loved both his photos and his video so it was an easy choice

I am still deciding on videographer, but I love our photographer, Joshua Dwain from Joshuadwain.com.

I actually saw his work on someone else's wedding and I feel in love with the way that he told the story of the day. I felt like I actually went to the wedding. He has a photojournalistic style of photography, which I love! He really captures the essence of the bride, groom, ceremony and celebration.

We booked with Nina and Alex at unique visions studio!!!!!!!!!! We fell in love with nina's talent for taking a diverse array of photos. We wanted a photographer that did a mixture of of photo types, like photo journalistic and traditional!!! When we saw her pictures we absolutely loved her eye for the camera, then when saw alex's amazing cinematic take on wedding videos and we had to book with them. I think it is rare to find both in one place and we did!!!! This will make it ten times easier for us!!!!!! You should check them out on wedding wire, they are great!!!!!!!!

we booked him too- we loved his work and his albums were so unique- he really allows you to take creative control on different aspects- it was helpful for me too because i live in florida and we can do all the proofs/desining and everything over the computer so i wouldn't need to fly up there to take care of photos

Yup. PLUS, when I was looking for photogs, every review I saw where I fell in love with the pictures, Iw ould find out they were by THomas PAul. He was top of my list and when I found out the price of his package, it was icing on the cake. He gave us more for less money than we were getting from other places we sought quotes from.
