Picking my DJ and videographer
I met with Tom from Spin Around Sound and Eddie from Parameterse last weekend. I liked them both and I'm completely torn!! HELP! For everyone who is still looking for a videographer, I met with Wild Rose, Platinum, and Candlelite. You really can't go wrong with any of them, however I liked Candlelite the best. Just me two cents!

my two cents...
Although I never met either one of those DJ's, I will tell you this. I did call Spin Around Sound, and they were very rude to me (You can read my post called- I just hung up on Spin Around Sound from a few weeks ago). So even though I never met or spoke to parameters, I would suggest going with them. SAS really was very rude to me and they upset me very much. I know this has nothing to do with you, and so it probably doesn't help you, but that is just my two cents.

Picking my DJ and videographer
We used Spin-Around-Sound, although it was Anthony, not Tom who was heading things up at our wedding. We were very happy with them. Tom was very accomodating, agreeing to meet with us on a Sunday morning (Father's day in fact) because we were traveling in from Boston and it was difficult to find a day we could meet up. I don't think you'd be disappointed with them.

Did you book with 'big' or 'little' Anthony? Did they play the style of music you wanted? I just want to make sure they play the music I request.

We actually had both Anthonys. I was so busy socializing I really don't recall just what they played, but I do know that everyone enjoyed the music and dancing, my MIL was happy (and she kept making a big fuss beforehand about how the music better not be too loud so you couldn't talk to each other), they respected our Do Not Play list, and only played the Electric Slide after 3 requests from guests, and with our OK. They did play all the requested songs that I recall being important. Additionally, we, and our guests, are older - almost no one under 35 at the wedding, so we did not want any of the hip-hop, rap, 90's music, and they were able to accomodate our requests for music from the 50's to the 80's with some big band thrown in. Hope this helps...

Spin around sound
We just booked spin around sound. Tom was very nice and accomidating to our situation. ( we lost both our fathers). he made suggestions on how our Moms should walk in , and how to make them both feel comfortable. He also made great suggestions for my uncles when they dance with me , they are walking me down the isle. i really felt comfortable with Tom. just my 2 cents :)

02bride - you know my vote .. Eddie w/ Parameters
We met with both Eddie and Tom in our DJ search, and I have to say, I have not one regret about choosing Eddie. You need to go with whomever of the two made you feel most comfortable. This is the person who will be running your party for you, and you need to be able to communicate well with them. Eddie and I talked many times in the months leading up to the wedding, and I found him very helpful. He offered some really good suggestions, especially concerning some songs. As for the wedding day, I still remember how Eddie came running all the way down from the top floor at John Anthony`s to catch us as we prepared to leave the bridal suite (on the basement level) for introductions. He wanted to make sure he had everything just right, and didn`t want to wait for the elevator! Well, he got all the names perfectly .. truly an accomplishment, since most people struggle with them, especially my husband`s name. My maiden name is much easier when given the proper rhyme. ;) That may sound a little silly, that I`m praising Eddie for getting the names right, but some of the names are really tough. We went to three other weddings last year, and at my husband`s brother`s wedding, the MC totally brutalized the family`s last name everytime it was used. At another wedding, the MC introduced the bride`s parents, but said they were the groom`s parents, never corrected it, and came right back to introduce the groom`s parents as the groom`s parents, still never catching the mistake! Eddie checked in with us several times through the night, giving us plenty of opportunity to let him know if we wanted or needed anything, and those things we did ask for were promptly handled .. like how I almost forgot about having a giveaway game for the centerpieces. One other thing I have to mention .. Eddie really has a tremendous voice for MCing. I`ve watched our raw footage video several times, and I really like the way his voice projects over the room. And no, he does not try to dominate the reception. He handled everything with class .. from a male friend of mine jumping hysterically in excitement at winning the floral centerpiece, to a special dance we did in honor of my brother and sister-in-law`s 10 year anniversary to the Ice Cream Bar mysteriously appearing without anyone being informed it was coming out, plus more! Spin Around Sound gets a lot of business from this site, and while I may be making your decision tougher, I just wanted to say again how happy we were with Eddie.
