There have been some new brides that people have perceived to be vendors!!!!!

I'm soo bumping this one b/c I think it needs to be read. It bothers me when someone is pointed out to be a fakey, or whatever w/o really knowing the real story. Yes sometimes we are correct, but there have been times when someone is made out to be fake,a nd it's not true. I've seen this sooo many times it's sick.

One suggestion though Ron...I think this should be one of those locked topics so everyone will see it. JMO

I like it when I see other girls point out a fake post. I almost called the Chocolate Fountain company since it got SUCH rave reviews - until I saw that the rave reviews were from the people that owned the company!

When a 'weddie newbie' has 1 post, and it's a vendor rave... it's VERY suspicious. I would just hate for a bride to read the post thinking it's real - and then use that less-than-honest vendor. I rave about a lot of vendors - and sometimes think to myself, wow... I sound like I own the company! lol. But then someone can look over and see I've posted almost 2000 times about alllll different things, and I'm a legitimate bride.


Maybe there's a way that it can be pointed out by liweddings.com that the post was made up before it's yanked to set the record straight before it's pulled?

I honestly thought the icon was there to point out dishonest vendors posing as brides. I only used it for the first time today for a VERY obvious vendor rave BY a vendor posing as a bride, who only had that one post. And I believe that vendor was a repeat offender.

Was not the reason for that icon! Although that is what people have come to use it for. The post you are speaking about was from a real bride! And so were the other posts about that vendor and is the reason this thread was started. Not pointing you out so don't feel bad, okay? Just pointing out a situation. When a vendor joins the site they are happy because this site is the largest form of bridal marketing on Long Island. When the vendor lets their satisfied brides/grooms know they are on LIWeddings the brides and grooms in return (being happy with the service they were provided) come on the site to boast about their positive experience. That is why some of you think that the first post is a fake. Now there are times that they are fake so please just send us an FM. We will investigate and take the necessary action. Thank you!!!!!!!

I have been called a fake bride once or twice myself

off on a tangent...I never understood how someone can brag about a vendor or service that they haven't even used, yet.
