Honey, if he really loves you he will stand up to them all and stick by your side. If he doesn't, then he isnt' worth even your tears! You see a man takes a wife, he is now a man and can't have his parents and sibblings run his life. And you don't a huge wedding to be man and wife, and heck if she cancelled the hall, then look at it as good now you don't have to invite her or any of her guest. Again lets see if your FH is ready to be a man and stand up for you! Have strength. I know its hard, but be stronge. You deserve to be treated with respect and if they can't treat you with it and he doesn't stand up for you, then he is not mature enough to be married.

Trust me I know. Its the most painful feeling you never thought you could have. Its in your gut and chest and all you want to do is cuddle next to him and for him to tell you its going to work out. I know that feeling, VERY well! Hang in there and if you need to FM. I've been there. I really wish you the best!

Get off this site and do something. Right now you are talking to brides and are surrounded by wedidng things. Put on some shorts and have a nice jog. You'll feel better and it will clear your head. Trust me. get outside and get some air.

Great advice. Shes right. Clear your head so you do not say or do anything you will regret.

It may be just me, but I would get back on the train and go back to his house. I would need to talk to my FH and have answers. I can't stand waiting and being in a fight.

I agree. You dont have to talk to your FMIL but you DEFINATELY have the right to talk to your FH!!!! GO back there and talk to him!!!!

Actually I would try to wait. Hear me out. If he isn't there right now chewing his mother and brother out, he doesn't deserve her.

I'm sorry you're going through a difficult time....be strong, you deservre to be treated well. No one should treat you like that! FH needs to tell your FMIL to butt out of your lives.

Re: please cheer me up
Oh, I'm so sorry But your FH may be just as upset over this as you are, and maybe he just needs some time to either cool off, or tell his mother to stay the hell out of his business. How did he sound when he told you his mother was calling it off. Did he sound furious with his mom, or did he sound like he agreed with her?

Re: please cheer me up
Can I ask what FH's brother said that started all of this? I wonder what happened in those 5 minutes. You should definitely ask FH after things have cooled down.
