My prayers are with you. Try your hardest not to worry untill all the tests are back.
Just two weeks ago my mom was diagnosed with Leukemia (CML). It was so hard and scary but I stayed strong for her. She is on medicine now and the outlook is very good. I understand your worry, but as someone else said, cancer now is alot different than it was years ago.
He is very lucky to have you. I will pray for you both.
