Please Pray For Us

Original post by agentangel

My fiance, only 29 years old, has some abnormal lymph nodes and an enlarged spleen. We still need to get tests done but words like lymphoma and leukemia have already been thrown out. It seems like such a mess and so unfair.

He's so sweet...he says that this is a sign that we shouldn't wait and that we should get married tomorrow. That makes me even sadder.

Thank you all so much for your wonderful thoughts. I'm trying to stay off the computer or focus on wedding things to keep my mind occupied and hearing your words have been so helpful. Your kindness is appreciated!

I'm so sorry to hear you are going through some tough times right now. Just stay strong and focus on the positives.....you could never be certain of negatives until all of that is proven by the tests. You both need to be there for each other and take it easy. All will work out and remember, every thing happens for a reason. My thoughts and prayers are with the both of you. Any time you need to talk us girls are here for you!!

This symptoms sounds awfully familiar...when I was 17 I had these same symptoms! My lymph nods were enlarged in my pelvic area and my spleen was also inflamed, but the docs never said anything about leukemia, they actually thought it was Pelvic inflammatory disease, but thank god it wasn't.
I was told it was Hepititas B, which I probably contracted through the series of vaccinations I had a couple months before this...if you would like some more info about this, you can FM me

Re: Please Pray For Us

I saw his CT scan...you know how your liver is supposed to be the largest internal organ. Not anymore. His spleen is twice the size of his liver and has pushed all his intestinal organs to the left of his body. Good God!

So now we have an appointment to see the best doc but he's not available until Tuesday. GOOD GOD! This waiting game is going to just drive me crazy.
